Check out more of FourFourTwo’s predicted League Two table for 2022/23 below…

8) TRANMERE

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Super White Army to finish in 8th place for the 2022/23 campaign.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 7th place for the 2021/22 League Two campaign – instead they finished 9th.

FFT VERDICT: The average age of the eight players who left Prenton Park this summer was 33. The average age of the first six to come in is 21. It gives Rovers a more exuberant look; balancing that with the nous of Hemmings, Davies and Kieron Morris will keep them in the mix.

7) SWINDON

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Robins to finish in 7th place (playoffs) for the 2022/23 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: There’s continuity despite Garner’s exit, with a core of Town’s playoff team staying to be led by assistant Lindsey. After the hurried squad-building that was required after last season, including nine loanees, owner Clem Morfuni aims to create assets while remaining competitive.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 23rd place for the 2021/22 League Two campaign (albeit prediction made prior takeover) – instead they finished 10th.

6) SALFORD

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Ammies to finish in 6th place (playoffs) for the 2022/23 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: In an otherwise subdued start to the club’s summer, playmaker Elliot Watt will help the stylistic switch from Bowyer’s conservatism to Wood’s much more progressive methods. The coach will maximise existing personnel, especially if Brandon Thomas-Asante stays put.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 6th place for the 2021/22 League Two campaign – instead they finished 10th.

5) NEWPORT

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Exiles to finish in 5th place (playoffs) for the 2022/23 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: Although 25 goal Telford is gone, Rowberry’s fluid, attacking 4-2-2-2 system should create chances for Offrande Zanzala, Chanka Zimba, and others. Declan Drysdale, Sam Bowen and Aaron Wildig have been recruited from above to push the club back into the playoff hunt.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 1st place for the 2021/22 League Two campaign – instead they finished 11th.

4) BRADFORD

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Bantams to finish in 4th place (playoffs) for the 2022/23 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: Considering that Richie Smallwood started 40 Championship hames last season while Timi Odusina won numerous man of the match awards at Hartlepool, Bradford have recruited well under Hughes. It’s looked good on paper for them before though, it’s time to deliver.

3) NORTHAMPTON

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Cobblers to finish in 3rd place (automatic promotion) for the 2022/23 campaign.

FTT VERDICT: Having been cruelly, controversially denied promotion on the final day, the club are ready to right this wrong. Ben Fox should improve the midfield and Luton’s Danny Hylton is a statement signing. Two months ago, the frontman was starting in a Championship semi final.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 10th place for the 2021/22 League Two campaign – instead they finished 4th.

2) STOCKPORT

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Hatters to finish in 2nd place (automatic promotion) for the 2022/23 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: Challinor took no time to stamp his 3-5-2 image on County.

Boasting aggressive, attacking wing-backs, a pair of dangerous, interchanging strikers, a midfield that dictates with delightful authority and now Fraser Horsfall signed to fortify the defence, Stockport can go up again.

1) MANSFIELD

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Stags to finish in 1st place (champions) for the 2022/23 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: Mansfield collected the most points in League Two last season from late October through to May, and at it’s best their midfield diamond is a thing of beauty. If they can replace influential loanees and keep talisman Oates fit, the club will set the pace this time around.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 9th place for the 2021/22 League Two campaign – instead they finished 7th.
