The supporters of Bury were left confused yesterday after it had seemed like Frankie Bunn was looking set to become the new manager of the crisis club, however it’s since claimed he has walked away from the job.
Yesterday morning, BBC journalist Mike Minay stated “I understand that Bury have appointed a new manager with an official announcement due later.”
Whilst fans continued to wait patiently throughout the day for the Shakers to make an announcement, nothing of the sort came about.
It all fell silent, before Twitter users started to claim that former Oldham manager Frankie Bunn had made a u-turn, walking away from the club following talks.
Another suggested former Rochdale manager Keith Hill already offered his services next to nothing and then backed out because of owner Steve Dale.
This week, the club saw their Court Case adjourned until the 31st July, which will be the first week of the new 2019/20 season.
Since then, Dale revealed his plans to turn the club around through a CVA option. A points deduction, the same as what Bolton Wanderers were given and/or liquidation could be on the cards.
Fair to say it is a right mess at the club, most English Football League clubs have already started their pre-season training, for Bury though, it looks unlikely they will on Monday.
Two more players, Jay O’Shea and Tom Aldred, left to join with Robbie Fowler’s Brisbane Roar. Danny Mayor is liked elsewhere. Plymouth, who are managed by ex-Bury boss Ryan Lowe and continue to raid his promotion winning side.
After learning that Frankie Bunn was set to become Bury manager, only for talks to turn quiet, fans took to give their confused and frustrated reaction – check out what they said on the next page.
