Glastonbury Festival is usually held for four consecutive years before the organisers declare an off-year – or fallow-year – to allow the land to recover. The pandemic that halted the festival for two consecutive years is likely to prevent us from having another fallow season until later.
The exact dates of the festival in 2024 have not yet been confirmed, but the organisers have hinted at the fact that some major acts have already been booked.
Tradition dictates the festival will take place the last weekend in June. With this information, it is predicted that the festival in 2024 will take place from Thursday, 26 June to Sunday, 30 June.
The festival organisers are likely to announce the dates for next year soon after this year’s festival ends.
Tickets for the festival in 2024 are not on sale yet. Glastonbury’s ticket sale is in October, followed by the resale in April of returned tickets. You only have two chances.
You must register to get a Glastonbury ticket. Your registration will include a picture of you. The festival only allows the person pictured in the photo to enter.
SeeTickets is the only official partner of the festival that sells tickets.
The demand for tickets is high. The best way to increase your chances is to get as many people as possible to apply for you and the group. But it really comes down to chance.
In recent years, ticket prices have steadily increased. Tickets for 2023 were up £55 compared to the previous year, with festival-goers paying £340 in total.
The 2024 event is likely to cost more, but the organisers are yet to confirm how much.
You only need to pay a £50 deposit if you make it through the main sale. If you do not pay the balance by April, the ticket will be returned to the pot.
