Five Championship clubs are keen on Peterborough United winger or attacking midfielder Marcus Maddison as the Posh chairman denies that Boro have had their bid laughed off.
Reports claimed that Boro had their cheeky offer worth £350,000 turned away, however it turns out to be false with Darragh MacAnthony stating that they wouldn’t have made one worth that much.
No bid Josh. Middsboro wouldn’t make an offer like that to be fair https://t.co/MIGoRtcy3k

West Bromwich Albion, Derby County, Bristol City and Brentford are among the clubs considering a January transfer window move for the playmaker.
The 26-year-old’s contract with the Posh is set to run out at the end of the season and it includes a £2.5 million release clause.
Peterborough of course really hope that he stays so they can have an even better shot at winning promotion to back to the Championship, a division they haven’t been in since the 2012/13 season.
In the 244 games that he has made an appearance for the EFL League One side, he has managed to score a total of 62 goals and also provided 92 assists according to Transfermarkt.
This campaign alone, he’s 10 times in 21 games all competitions, helping guide the Posh to 3rd place in the third tier of English football.
Is this, the January transfer window, that the former Gateshead player is finally taken away from his current club?
