Michael Brown is a former footballer who went on to take a coaching role with Port Vale, before becoming assistant manager in 2016. He was promoted to caretaker manager in 2016, but could not prevent his side’s relegation out of League One at the end of the 2016/17 season, after which he was confirmed as the club’s permanent manager. He was sacked in September 2017 with the club lying bottom of League Two.
Current odds on Sky Bet: 8/1

Jay Saunders is the current favourite for the job at Macclesfield Town.
Saunders had been at Maidstone United since 2011 and guided the Stones to three promotions, climbing from the Isthmian League to the National League.
However, after losing four of their first seven games putting them 19th in the table, the club felt it was tie to end his connection to the club.
Current odds on Sky Bet: 6/4
Others listed are Steve Davis, Matthew Tipton, Craig Bellamy, Jack Lester, John Askey, Lee Clark and Paul Ince.
