Farnham Town set up fundraiser for ‘huge’ new stadium development

Newly promoted Farnham Town have taken to set up a GoFundMe fundraiser for a ‘huge’ new stadium development at the Memorial Ground.

Farnham have made many changes to their home, but their next one is their biggest yet. They have announced plans to redevelop The Clock End by building a new stepped-standing terrace.

But they need your help with the club matching every penny donated, have a read and donate something if you can…

Hello! We’re excited to announce plans for the latest large-scale redevelopment of our home, The Memorial Ground, with our new project – #ReclaimTheClockEnd!

Over the last two years, the investment in matchday experience at Farnham Town has been a huge focus for the Club. Two brand new stands, one seated, one stepped standing, have been erected in the ground, to help accommodate rapidly growing attendances. We’ve installed new club-coloured pitchside railings, a new digital scoreboard, a media gantry, a new PA-system, a new pitchside toilet block, a new food court area and a renovated bar with three times the capacity as before.

Attendances have grown by over 300% in the last two years with the average gate at The Memorial Ground exceeding 500 in 2023/24. Fans young and old have been rewarded with watching an incredibly successful team. One that has not lost a league game for over 500 days and secured promotion to the Isthmian South Central and Step 4 for the first time in our 118-year history without losing a game.

Moving up the leagues means we need to continue investing in our home in order to remain sustainable and successful in our vision. Which brings us to #ReclaimTheClockEnd.

We believe The Clock End at The Memorial Ground is one of the most iconic and best places to watch Non-League football in the country. The unique elevated vantage point gives hundreds of fans every week the chance to watch the Town with an unparalleled view of the pitch.

Now at Step 4 level, we cannot allow fans to stand on the grassy hill at the Clock End like they always have during games and will need to cordon this area off every game next season and beyond due to safety concerns. This is a league requirement and one we will adhere to. This is why we want to #ReclaimTheClockEnd.

It’s our plan to renovate The Clock End entirely, by digging out the hill and building a new multi-tiered stepped-standing terrace that would run across the hill, next to the seated stand behind the goal. This will allow us to accommodate more fans at The Clock End, and in a safer way.

To do this though, we need your help. We’re looking to raise the funds for the planning and implementation of this project. The Club will also match every ยฃ1 donated by you, so if we meet our ยฃ25,000 target, the Club will also donate another ยฃ25,000 to fund the works.

Any and all donations are welcomed, but we also have a selection of tiered rewards available as a thank-you. If you donate:

ยฃ50 or more – You will have your name etched into a brick used to build the new Clock End Terrace

ยฃ100 or more – The above, plus a limited edition scarf made available exclusively to #ReclaimTheClockEnd supporters and you will feature on in our matchday programme as a ‘Clock End Partner’

ยฃ1,000 or more – The above, plus a 10-year season ticket (valid until 2035) to Farnham Town FC, eligible for both our Men’s and Women’s First Teams and U18s.

ยฃ2,500 or more – The above, plus full pitch hire at The Memorial Ground to conduct a post-season match on a day of your choice, with a staffed bar after the game for you and your friends to enjoy

ยฃ10,000 or more – The above, plus exclusive naming rights for the Clock End Terrace for the first three seasons after it’s completed

Together, we can #ReclaimTheClockEnd and build a more exciting future at Farnham Town!

Twitter users gave their reaction as Farnham Town set up fundraiser for a ‘huge’ new stadium development to meet a league requirement…

@LeoRoystonPerry: Put my pennies in ๐Ÿ‘ Uppa Town

@marklac40121919: Really enjoyed the visit to your ground in the FA CUp last season but the grass bank behind the goal was an awful place to stand. With a big crowd you couldn’t even see the goal you stood behind! Terracing will make a massive improvement

@LeoRoystonPerry: Yeah it wasnโ€™t ideal, I missed a lot of our cup final win last year because of this. As nice as it is having a patch of green itโ€™s definitely not fit for purpose with the growing regular numbers

@CurlySoccerAM: Good luck mate! The Farnham matchday experience is one of the best ๐Ÿ™Œ

@champions_2O24: cancelled my beers for tonight and made a small donation instead

@ForeverOUFC: Sounds exciting, been keeping my eye on the club keen to to see how they progress and hopefully one day reach the National League/EFL. Love seeing clubs thrive with a great fanbase too. Doing things well
