Fans slam talkSPORT’s Jason Cundy for saying that Arsenal’s Miles Lewis-Skelly, 18, risks being on the end of a career ending injury’.
The Gunners produced a 5-1 victory over Manchester City last weekend Gabriel got revenge on Erling Haaland, while Myles Lewis-Skelly mimicked’s Haaland’s meditation celebration following his goal, which marked Arsenal’s third of the match.
At the end of the game, Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Humble’ was played out through the Emirates Stadium’s tannoy, serving as a nod to Haaland’s advice to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to ‘stay humble’ comment after their previous encounter at the Etihad Stadium.
But Jason Cundy has warned Arsenal over their s***housery of Erling Haaland, saying it could brutally come back to bite them…

Arsenal and Gabriel gets revenge on Haaland with goal celebration and song played on tannoy
Cundy said on The Sports Bar: “That needle, that’s rocket fuel. That was the battle in the middle of the park you wanted to see. Having all of that.
“There’s not enough of that in the game. If I had to say to you now, what’s the biggest needle in the game right now, you ask me, I’d say it’s Gabriel and Haaland. That’s only recent, that’s only this season. There’s no real needle, is there?
“There’s a little bit between two clubs, but that goes historically back. And I love that. A centre half against a centre forward, right? All for that, Gabriel shouting in his face…
“I mean, you know, picking to choose your battles, but the Lewis-Skelly stuff. Wind your neck in.
“Arsenal fans will love it and I get why they love it. But Haaland, he’s completed football, right? And be careful what you do at that age because I just, I’m not so sure it’s wise for him to be doing that. All right?
“Run off, celebrate your goal, do what you need to do. And you know, he’s a brilliant young player. He’s got to have a stellar career by the looks of it. He looks top drawer.”
He added: “Just doing that… I’m not convinced it’s the wisest thing to do because, you know, so long, plenty of years to come.
“You wait. You know, we saw what Roy Keane did to Haaland’s dad. You know, just be careful what battles you pick.”
In a huge rant, Cundy said: “And also, who are Arsenal? And what have they done in the last 20 years? Seriously, how can they be taking that battle there? Quieten yourselves down.
“You’re a good side, really good team. You showed that the weekend. You’re probably going to be second, again.
“When you win something, then you can shout from the houses. Then you can start doing all this housery. Then you go, it’s built on nothing other than, you know, it comes from Mikel Arteta. He’s part of it, he loves to promote and he’s, you know, it’s fine.
“Arsenal fans would love it. And I totally get it. I watched Chelsea under Jose Mourinho, right?
“Jose won things, Jose won Premier League. Back to back Premier Leagues. He was there. You earned the right.
“And right now, Arsenal haven’t earned the right to be doing that sort of housery. It’s fine. Do it, we’ll see where it ends up.
“Come back at the end of the season. If they win the Premier League or Champions League, then we’ll have this conversation.
“But right now, you’re just pups. You’re pups and you’re messing around with the big boys.
“Haaland’s got all the medals, he’s got the badge on the side. Yeah. Bad day in the office.
“This is the trouble with Arsenal fans. It’s all about the now. It’s all about, the trouble is, when was the last time they had the now?
“Seriously, when was the last time it was the now? When was the last time they went, ‘we’re the big dogs?’
“They ain’t the big dogs… I’ll tell you what they do, they’re very good at winning little battles, but don’t win the war.
“It’s true. It’s exactly who Arsenal are.
“Man City. You’re talking about one of the guys, Haaland’s got 250 career league goals. Just get him sitting there doing that. Wind your neck in.
“Come on. Let’s have it right.”
Fans slam talkSPORT’s Jason Cundy for saying Miles Lewis-Skelly, 18, risks receiving a career ending injury…
@scoutedftbl: Football fandom/media spent an entire month harking back to the ‘glory years’ and ‘the Barclays’ and ‘when football was better’ a few months back… but now there’s a bit of classic needle in a game they’re up on the high horse and/or shitting their pants about it. Work that out.
@Brett_leverton: It amazes me that @talkSPORT allows two proper gear heads on the show.
@DBArsenal1: @talkSPORT you’re advocating this? Wrongen
@Cotto34: Great stuff @talkSPORT. Very rational
@KayLFC05_: @jasoncundy05 absolute disgrace. We know what you are. Isn’t even underbelly, it’s LOUD. @ChelseaFC @talkSPORT you’re a disgrace for letting this man have a platform
@EispyEils: There are wind up merchants & then there’s Cundy…. he needs banning for what in effect is inciting violence against Lewis-Skelley 😡😡
@Col00156481: The club should make an official complaint about Cundy’s comments @arsenal
@SJW_AFC: What an unhinged thing to say.
@Jayp6181: @talkSPORT … Does this represent your views?
@marvinxfunkyman: @jasoncundy05 when 17 year old Wayne Rooney burst onto the scene, who hadn’t won anything yet, was smashing seasoned pro’s. Winners of big accolades even. He was lauded for it. Why is the energy different now?
@Arsenal_millz: There are those who stir up trouble, and then there’s Cundy… His actions should result in a ban, as he is essentially encouraging violence against Lewis-Skelley. 😡😡
@FergTracy3090: @talkSPORT disgraceful from two middle aged men “grow up”
@plumbmark2: It Hardly surprising that talksport entrains this level of commentary. This is the type of rhetoric that made talksports what it is today 🤮 Or in other words Pair of cunts chatting shite.
@kingkinsy: Why wasn’t there the same amount of chest about Haaland at the beginning of the season when he threw the ball at Gabriel’s head? We should be celebrating the emergence of a great young talent. Not advocating for them to get injured 🤦♂️
@Supersvanen1: @talksport how about you ask your so-called “pundits” to NOT ask for a career ending injury to an 18 year old? I realize you’re shit, but this is abhorrent even for you.
@da_moose: Please explain @jasoncundy05. Are you advocating a young 18yr footballer gets his leg broken for having some fun celebrating his first goal, after being bullied by another footballer in a previous game? @talkSPORT
@Con2094: England finally have a left back in Lewis-Skelly & all I’ve been seeing is people knocking him for a celebration. City gave it out, arsenal gave it back. Is this not what we’ve all wanted back for years???
@Ant_Walter3: I’m not sure why anyone is surprised at anything talksport spout out anymore. Their content has been awful for years and it’s worse than ever. Not worth anyone’s time to listen to them
This is the same Jason Cundy last season 11 months ago, and 4 months ago earlier this season. Giving his opinions on Maupay and Haalands “windup antics”.
Now I wonder why his opinions changed so drastically… is it because Miles Lewis Skelly plays for Arsenal or because he’s … https://t.co/OaAXyTvGEx pic.twitter.com/AN9xz3JGZB
