Fans have took to slam Barnet for their ‘stupidly expensive’ season ticket prices which have been revealed for the 2022/23 season.
Season tickets at the Bees will cost fans £12 more the the campaign just gone, and fans aren’t buying into the audio used in the 22/23 season ticket promo talking about “togetherness” and “walking the walk” just weeks after the club finished 18th in the National League. The footage also includes players who shouldn’t/won’t be there.
Barnet sit in the bottom half when it comes to the division’s average attendance table, with the figure sat at 1,566.
The Hive Stadium holds 5,176, so the average attendance given means just 30% of the ground is usually filled on matchdays, and on occasions almost half of the attendance is away fans.

– STATEMENT ENDS –
As mentioned, fans slam Barnet for their ‘stupidly expensive’ season ticket prices…
@olly_plevin: £396. Absolutely unreal
@TacticalBrennan: 400 for a team that came 18th 😂
@james_harpin: Deary me
@tomburns24: Surely most expensive season ticket in the league next year? I’ll pass
@RussWWFC: £396 for a club that finished 18th in the 5th tier. Absolutely scandalous. Can get a seat at Wycombe on the halfway line for less or far much better value in non-league. I’d be ‘thrilled’ if I could find someone daft enough to pay that to watch a team 9 miles from it’s home town
@Jon2383: At the ‘start’ of The Hive, we paid £29 per month for a premium West Stand seat… it’s only £50 odd more than in 2013! We’re a poorly supported club. A lot of clubs are. If there was an offer next season of £100 for the season, not many more people would go than normal!
@CBLG7: Are you having a laugh ?!
@ftfcRedford: The cheek of yous
@MattySunlun: Nearly 400 quid for 18th in the National League 🤣
@MorganSmith1000: I’ve paid just above this for a league 1 team pushing promotion in an elite stadium. These prices are embarrassing
@FrankAbagnaleNG: I’ve renewed at Forest for £445… for potentially Premier League football.
@SUFCcode: £90 for u17s 💀 mine was £65 small club big prices
@LH44Joseph: Way too much imo
@AndrewRice121: Fucking hell I thought are season prices were high as a dagger fan but man I feel for you Barnet fans that’s a fucking joke
@Paul41078973: And people moan how match a gills season ticket is. This is to watch lower national league. @GillsInTheBlood @TheGillsFC
@Leestevens1983: £396 for a national league side!!!! I’m so glad my side Eastleigh look after num 1! There fans ⚽️⚽️⚽️
@1892Jake: HOW MUCH???!!
@AbsGlasper: fucking hell that’s the same price as us HAHAHAHAHAHAH #safc
@Carduelis101: Is this for real?! We shipped 90 goals, finished 18th, and our Chairman appears in the Rich List. #TKOut
@ftfcknappers: £170 for a standing ticket in League One, playing the likes of Derby, Ipswich Pompey and co. £396 is a rip of at the finest order. For me I’d rather have more fans in the ground, and make slightly less in tickets, you will make it back in food, shirt sales, and cup sales etc.
@james_harpin: £17 ticket, £8 to park, £5 a pint. That’s £30 before I even consider petrol, more pints. £720 just for home games… please justify it. I can’t.
@ScottCarter97: Potentially another £150 season ticket watching league 1 football, thank the lucky stars I’m a Morecambe fan
@clinicalchilly: I can get a season ticket with Ipswich for £100 £252 for non league is ridiculous
@dsaltyphrases: Wow. That is scandalous.
@loudefc182: Kin hell, ridiculous price, @EastleighFC thanks for constantly getting ticket prices right.
@RhysJBE: That’s a fucking disgrace! Fleecing fans for everything. Over £17 a match for a season ticket. Disgusting.
@DPendency: Small football club fans actually get rinsed so hard, how can a team that finishes near bottom of the conference charge more than half the teams in the premier league
@GillyClarke25: I’ve just paid the same price for a season ticket to watch the Champions of England next season 😂
@ChrisATFC87: I thought we were bad enough..fucking hell you can get premier league season tickets cheaper
@ReeceDSport: 400 quid. Four Hundred Quid. Two lots of 200. 4 lots of 100. Four hundred one pound coins. Bottom half National league. Yeesh
@LTFC_Dave: £400 for non-league football, what a fucking joke
@DP_1990_: Nearly £400 a year to watch a crap national league side 🤣🤣🤣 what drugs they on over there
@ercansurge: £396 🥴…Get a @hadleyfc season ticket instead. 🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱
@JackToulson12: £400 to watch a National League side who just about scraped relegation 🤣 how tf can they be allowed to charge these prices
@jackstringer19: £71 less for me to renew at Blues, three divisions higher. Good luck with that.
@PaoloSpero: Wow…. look at that price. A team that finished 18th in the 5th tier. I paid €120 for my Parma season ticket last year in serie B, but even in Serie A it wasn’t much more
