Betting have been suspended on Notts County head coach Ian Burchnall quitting for new League One club Forest Green Rovers.
The 39 year old has been linked with the vacant job since the Gloucestershire outfit expressed shock and disappointment at Rob Edwards leaving for Watford earlier this month.
Forest Green Rovers chairman Dale Vince intensified speculation in an interview on a podcast saying he knew the person they wanted to speak to was still in a job.
BetVictor have suspended betting on the next Forest Green Rovers manager market.

Nottingham Post report that before the bookies closed the market to become new FGR boss, Burchnall was 4/6 favourite having previously been tipped for jobs at Lincoln, Bradford and Peterborough.
After losing to Grimsby in the playoffs this week, he was asked if he’d join Forest Green, he admitted there was nothing to add. At the end of the last game of the regular season, he said: “I haven’t even thought about it.
“I really enjoy my place at Notts. It’s a fantastic football club. I really enjoy the work I am doing. I am only focused on that. Maybe my mum is putting money on. Maybe she likes a flutter and that’s why it (odds) keeps going up.”
“It’s a cruel way to lose a game,” Burchnall told BBC Radio Nottingham on the game itself, with the Mariners winning the eliminator in extra time.
“I actually thought we handled it well, we took momentum into extra time – it was going to be a fine margin that decided it, if not penalties, and it could have gone either way.
“I have seen [a video of] the last goal, it looks offside, which is frustrating, because it was so late in the game.”
His side finished 5th in the final National League table, one place and five points above Grimsby, but now face a third successive season outside the EFL.
“We just need to reflect and take stock. The building blocks are here, we’ve reduced the average age of the squad from 29 to 24, we’ve brought in some exciting young players who are developing in the right way,” he said.
“We really wanted to get out of this league this season, it wasn’t to be, so now we have to put the foundations in place for the future.
“We were seconds away. I was a bit unsure where he got six minutes from, but still we have to defend for the six minutes and we gave a needless free-kick away in a dangerous area and they put everybody forward, it was chaos, and we couldn’t quite see it out.”
Forest Green chairman Dale Vince said on the search for a new manager: “We have identified the person we would like to offer the job to and are waiting for permission from his club to talk to him.
“We are taking a different approach because of our circumstance and the window to the new season has been shortened by the world cup this year, so we have less time to move, so we are going to have a quicker process.
“I don’t know what the club has had, but I have had probably like half a dozen emails from all kinds of people that are interested in the job.”
