With fans finally back in the stands, we will be taking a look at every attendance in the EFL, including the biggest of the weekend.
It was a busy few days of football with supporters up and down the country going through the turnstiles to watch their sides all in action.
Unlike fans’ returns to stadiums which we saw during the height of the pandemic last year, most spectators weren’t wearing masks and didn’t have to keep to social distancing rules.
Some supporters did, however, have to put on their face coverings to keep themselves protected, though that didn’t stop the many smiles upon faces as fans were able to gather freely for the first time since the pandemic began over a year ago.
It was last March when the entire world was brought to a sudden halt when the coronavirus pandemic hit.
Supporters of teams weren’t allowed to see their sides in action until last December, albeit at a reduced capacity and even that changed in May when the Government permitted up to 10,000 fans to attend outdoor sports venues.
That figure steadily rose during the summer due to the success of the vaccine roll-out and now full capacity is allowed again.
The permanent lifting of restrictions on the 19th of July paved the way for stadiums to get back to business.
The one planned change we are set to see comes in October when vaccine passports will be required to attend large gatherings.
The Government are expected to make the passports mandatory for those wanting to attend events that hold 20,000 or more attendees, something which has divided opinion.
