EFL and non league fans have taken to slam Jurgen Klopp’s after his post-match comments cause a stir on social media earlier this week.
The 54 year old German says it is has become impossible for the Premier League to continue with its current fixture list ahead of a crunch meeting between the league and clubs on Monday.
There had been hopes from managers and players that a round of matches would be called off due to the rise in Covid cases.

However after last weekend’s Premier League was heavily affected with majority of games postponed, it is scheduled to return to action with a full set of games across Boxing Day and December 27 and another round then held across December 28, 29 and 30.
The Premier League confirmed its “intention to continue its current fixture schedule where safely possible” following a meeting on Monday.
After his side’s exciting 2-2 draw at Tottenham, Klopp, who had previously voiced his opposition to a proposed ‘circuit breaker’, argued the league needed to reconsider its Christmas plans.
“We’ve played Wednesday, Sunday and now Tuesday, it’s not possible – we don’t have the players. It can happen we might have another case or two so players will have to quarantine,” Klopp told Sky Sports.
“The 26th and the 28th – it’s really not possible. We would prefer to play but we need help with the fixtures. The big thing we all have to talk about is if we can carry on or not, but if we carry on we can’t carry on like usual.
“If we don’t play anymore and we have a break, I’m fine with that too. They said before corona that we were a bit busy. And now corona gives us a proper punch and tells us we can’t carry on like this.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders has bemoaned the fixture pile-up caused by Covid outbreaks in a number of playing squads across the Premier League on top of an already busy festive period.
Lijnders was pressed on how Liverpool have dealt with Covid, responding: “For me the experts are not the managers. The experts are the scientists and the doctors. They should be asked.
“The health comes before everything. We are in the job to protect our players, staff and family members.”
When it comes to the Premier League’s announcement that the season will continue as normal despite the high number of postponed fixtures due to Covid outbreaks, he said: “Jurgen made this point really clear after the game.
“We think it is absurd we have to play after 48 hours. It’s a much higher risk of injury and the quality will not be as good.”
However, it’s the first sentence of what he said that has got EFL and non league fans to slam Jurgen Klopp’s post-match comments…
