Darlington sign prolific goalscorer Jack Maskell with the 19 year old tipped for big things and an exciting future ahead of him.
The Quakers have signed the young striker from Dunston for an undisclosed fee and on a two year deal after impressing in the Northern Premier League East Division.
But he expressed a desire to play at a higher level after catching the attention of such clubs, with Darlington winning the race.
It comes in the week that that around ยฃ190,000 was raised by Darlington fans in summer’s Boost the Budget, allowing the club to bring in key signings after a season where they finished just above the National League North drop zone, and could’ve been worse if it hadn’t been for manager Steve Watson turning the club’s form around.
