SHORTENED HIGLHIGHTS:

EXTENDED HIGHLIGHTS:

Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder said, as per Sky Sports:

“That will stay with Rom forever. I am delighted for him because he was outstanding.

“Delighted for the team. It was an end-to-end game. Well, not so much second half. From their point of view, I imagine they’re disappointed they’ve not got a win.

“The heart of the team was huge, one-nil down, 1-1 straight away, 2-1 down, two each. We were on the ropes for a period, second half, we just lost control and lost a bit of the shape of the team as well.

“I think they could sniff it as well, but Michael [Cooper] making some big saves to keep us in it gives us an opportunity of finding that ambition at the end.”

Talking to the club’s media, he said: “It’s up to me now working with the players that I’ve got, and what I’ve got is a proper committed group of players as you’ve seen tonight. You know, the reaction after the first goal, first minute, you know, it couldn’t have gone any worse for us, and we got straight back on it and equalised straight away, reaction to the second goal straight back on it and then the desire to try and find a winner when we were, you know, it was a game of basketball and we’re under the cosh, you know, Michael [Cooper], he was you know one of the best goalkeepers not the best goalkeeper in the division two years ago, is because what he’s done today as well, so everybody has to play a part they’ve all played apart so working with the players I’ve got.

“We’ve got some injuries as you’ve seen especially at the top of the pitch Ryan [One] and [Tahith] Chong, Femi Seriki who can play wide on the right as well, players are getting up to speed. Ben absolutely ran his nuts off, wanted to stay on the pitch, didn’t want to come off until he got dragged off. So, that’s what I’m after. That’s what I love. And we all love a last minute winner, that’s what I’m about is looking after those players that I’ve got at my disposal.”

Bolton’s Steven Schumacher:

“Obviously devastated to lose the game. I felt the way we played, we certainly deserved something from the game. I thought you could argue in the second half we deserved to win the game.

“I thought we were the best team. To have 18 shots on their goal away at Bramall Lane and their goalkeeper to be in top form is pleasing from a performance perspective, but to come away with nothing is, as I say, devastating.

“It’s something that this league is like, it’s brutal. And us as a team and as a squad, we’ve got to learn quick.

“We spoke to the players before the game about trying to manage the crowd, I spoke about the song that these play at the start, and it’s a brilliant song and gets everyone up for it.

“So, win your first tackle, win your first header, try and take control of the game. And before they’d stop singing the song, we were one-nil up.

“So, it couldn’t have been a better start for us, but unfortunately, we didn’t stay ahead for long enough. There’s a bit of naivety, certainly for the second goal.”

Here’s how fans reacted as Chris Wilder goes viral celebrating Sheffield United’s comeback win against Bolton…

@ANONBLADE1889: With a big FUCK OFF in the direction of the directors box 🙌🏻

@bwfc_archie5: Fella knows he’s just scammed a win I’d be gassed too

@WaferWarrior13: I can confirm I lost my shit when he buried that 😄

@KopFinest: Best ever. Be nowt without him at minute. Backs against wall again our Chris 🫡😆

@NickHedge1: Big Fuck Off in direction of The Board 🤣⚔️ Love to see it!!! Full on screwed us!!

@Blaw645: Who even needs attacking players when you’ve got chris wilder running down the wing as if we’ve won the league. Thats what it’s all about

@aviationbyjames: a lot to build on there, Donovan and Cooper were absolutely superb, hopefully on to winning ways now ⚔️🙏

@JackBWFC04: Jammy bastards. Completely outclassed you men second half but found a way to nick it and that’s the difference in championship experience. What drugs was your keeper on. He was outstanding.

@lukey_beck: Donovan best player on pitch, probably better on left thsn he is on right. Choudhury cant play RB at fault for both goals. Good 3pts though.

@ELancsTrotter: How many Weetabix did your keeper have this morning? Very good match, thought we deserved a point based on our second half performance but unfortunately an individual error cost us again.

@AntSSimo19: Wonderful pass from Phillips. Donovan still had a lot to do and what a finish. Looked good when on his natural LHS but seems like BBD has been brought in tho play there. Really hoping we can get some consistency from KP. A glimpse of his obvious talents there.

@JFootball004: Back Wilder and the lads who are here. Regardless of the performance it shows real character to come back twice and score a late winner. We needed to replace O’Hare and haven’t but we will get better when Chong, Oné, Seriki and Burrows to give us more depth ⚔️
