Charlton Athletic’s loanee keeper Nathan Harvey gets sent off after scoring the winning goal as Chatham Town finish with 9-men.
847 fans watched Chatham Town closed the gap to the top of the table to just two points, with goalkeeper Nathan Harvey netting the only goal at Burgess Hill Town, with opposition keeper Will Huffer pedalling back but couldn’t keep the ball out as h watched it fly over his head and in the net.
The Chats goalkeeper also ended up somehow getting himself sent off, with him being one of three players who left the game early, and his replacement, 39 year old assistant boss Danny Kedwell, going in goal. The highlights video below is so worth a watch…

As early as the 22nd minute, his side were down to ten men with Dean Beckwith was sent off for the away side, and yet Burgess Hill couldn’t take advantage of this.
Nathan Harvey scored what KentOnline described to be a wind assisted goal 14 minutes from time to secure the vital three points.
Burgess Hill Town then found themselves down to ten me by full time with substitute Hayden Skerry sent off.
The result means that Ramsgate remain top of the Isthmian Football League South East Division with 66 points from 33 games played.
They are also two points ahead of second place Chatham Town, who in 2022, following a 10–1 thrashing of Erith & Belvedere, secured promotion back to the Isthmian League, finishing on 100 points and scoring 122 goals, Chatham yet finished the season in second place behind Sheppey United.
Haywards Heath Town currently sit 18th with 32 points from 33 games played, and now eight points above the bottom two.
