As it’s Christmas and because we’re also at the halfway point in the English Football league 2018/19 season, we have taken a look at the Championship league leaders from the past 10 years and where they ended up finishing.

In the 2008/09 season, Wolverhampton Wanderers were top of the Championship at Christmas.
They ended up finishing in 1st and crowned champions.

2009 – NEWCASTLE UNITED
In the 2009/10 season, Newcastle United were top of the Championship at Christmas.
They also ended up finishing in 1st and crowned champions.
