BBC and ITV announce presenters, pundits and commentators for Euro 2024 coverage

BBC and ITV announce its presenters, pundits and commentators for their coverage of this summer’s Euro 2024 which is being hosted in Germany.

This summer’s tournament gets underway on the 14th of June and the BBC will have 24/7 access, with 27 live televised matches, BBC Radio 5 Live for commentary on all 51 matches, and even a new channel dedicated to Euro 2024.

Live games and highlights will be shown on ITV1 and ITV4 and simulcast on ITVX, as well as across STV and STV Player, will be complemented by a range of bespoke content on ITV Football’s platforms and on ITVX.

Gary Lineker, Gabby Logan, Mark Chapman and Alex Scott are the lead presenters for the coverage from the studio in Berlin with live match commentary from all 10 host cities across Germany.

Led by main presenter Mark Pougatch along with Laura Woods, ITV’s star-studded Euros squad will offer a wealth of insight, expertise and opinion from a punditry line-up of Ian Wright, Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Karen Carney, Graeme Souness, Eni Aluko, Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou, Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Röhl and refereeing analyst Christina Unkel.

ITV commentary will come from Sam Matterface, Clive Tyldesley, Seb Hutchinson, Pien Meulensteen and Joe Speight, supported by co-commentators Lee Dixon, Ally McCoist, and Andros Townsend, with Gabriel Clarke reporting from the England camp, Connie McLaughlin with the Scotland squad, and Celina Hinchcliffe doing a round-up of news from the tournament.

On BBC TV commentary, it will be Guy Mowbray, Robyn Cowen, Vicki Sparks, Steve Wilson, Steve Bower and Jonathan Pearce, and they will be joined by Jermaine Jenas, Danny Murphy, Martin Keown and James McFadden on co-commentary, as well as Alan Shearer, who will be in the commentary box for England’s opener against Serbia on the 16th of June.

Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Joe Hart, Ellen White, Frank Lampard, Micah Richards and Ashley Williams will bring bringing their expertise to the BBC coverage.

Cesc Fabregas and Brentford boss Thomas Frank are also joining the team in the BBC studio.

Representing Scotland on the BBC, will be David Moyes, Rachel Corsie and James McFadden.

Reporting on the England camp throughout the tournament will be Kelly Somers, while it’s Eilidh Barbour for the Scotland team.

The BBC are launching a BBC iPlayer Euros channel which will include build-up content including special features and matches from the Euros archive spotlighting the greatest games from the tournament.

BBC iPlayer will also see additional analysis, mini highlights, home nations camp reports and a new highlights programme, Euros Breakdown, with Alex Scott.

On CBBC and iPlayer, younger viewers can watch the Jamie Johnson Watchalong for England’s second group game against Denmark on the 20th of June.

BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds will provide coverage of all 51 games in Germany, with presentation coming from Mark Chapman, Kelly Cates and Steve Crossman.

There will be BBC radio commentary from John Murray, Ian Dennis, Alistair Bruce-Ball and Vicki Sparks with expert analysis from Chris Sutton, Matthew Upson, Pat Nevin, Izzy Christiansen, Conor Coady and Dion Dublin.

BBC also confirm Theo Walcott, Clinton Morrison, Paul Robinson, Jose Fonte, Jen Beattie, Robert Huth, Stephen Warnock and Mario Melchiot will feature during the tournament.

The Football Daily podcast looks at analysis and interviews from inside the England and Scotland camps, 5 Live Breakfast will also be at the tournament, with Rick Edwards travelling across Germany. Gordon Smart will see his night-time show live in Munich following Scotland’s progress.

The 606 phone-in, hosted by Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton, will also make a regular appearance, while BBC Radio Scotland will be on hand to cover all of Scotland’s games.
