Barnet claim that a player of theirs was bitten in a heated altercation as the Boxing Day game with Boreham Wood ends with three red cards.
The local derby saw its first goal go to Barnet just minutes into the second half when a shot fell in the path of Nicke Kabamba who placed the ball in the back of the net.
Then tensions over boiled half-way through the second half when an-off-the-ball incident led to two red cards being dished out between Boreham Wood’s Bruno Andrade and Bees scorer Kabamba.
After the sending offs, the Wood looked the better of the two sides going forward and got that much needed equaliser when Jack Payne tapped the ball home following a brief scramble in the goalmouth.
Barnet were on a look out for a winner as the clock was running down, and after Femi Ilesanmi also saw red for Boreham Wood, seeing them go down to nine, De Havilland curled a dramatic late winner from a free-kick to take all the points.
Double red! 😳

A spokesman for Barnet said on Kabamba: “Following our fixture against Boreham Wood FC, Nicke Kabamba spoke with club officials and expressed regret for his part in the incident in the 67th minute.
“Nicke made it clear that he was bitten during the altercation.
“Barnet FC fully supports Nicke and will provide no further comment on the matter.”
The result means that Barnet sit 5th place with 39 points from 22 games played in the National League, superb for them compared to struggles past seasons, while Boreham Wood are 13th with 31 points from 22 games played.
This is what fans had to say as Barnet claim their player was bitten in an altercation as the game with Boreham Wood ends with three red cards…
@rickard_louie: Don’t blame Nicke for reacting. Andrade should get a huge ban now
@nicholas89patel: @nickekabamba hasn’t gotta regret anything if a grown man bites you it’s natural to react simple business
@olly_plevin: Got the fans full support too, no wonder he reacted
@inalexworld: Did the Boreham Wood lad not have enough Christmas turkey for breakfast?
@hayhive: @nickekabamba horrendous from Andrade ! Wouldn’t blame you if you landed one tbh ! Hope he gets a long ban 😡
@Crawleybee1986: Gotta be legal action. Scum bag
@James__1886: @metpoliceuk
@Dragonfly293: Andrade is just a failed EFL player with ideas well above his ability, if Garrard had anything about him he would make the idiot put out an apology to Nicke….I won’t hold my breath!!
@leyton0rientfan: Kambamba starts it and then cries about a scratch on his arm 🤣
@saundeel: Red cards for that? Pathetic
@bilal_zahid7: They got sent off for this but Gundogan full on pushes a Liverpool player and escapes any punishment at all. Premier League referees are corrupt beyond belief.
@PeppiattColin: In the Premier League it’d be yellow cards at most
@Charlieo798: Soft as shit that
@Govey24: Bruno Andrade is the biggest fraud to wear a Boro shirt. Worse than Jebb and that’s saying something.
@SfcDanny: Andrade being Andrade
@Boropod: Bruno Andrade is a disgrace.
@NatVanChudleigh: Woah, Bruno Andrade actually did something! That something was to get sent off having bitten a fellow player. More than he did for us all of last season…
@Jezonimo: Don’t put the player in a head lock then! Both as bad as each other and both deserve red.
@AdamDrakulic: Don’t think he bites him. I think he just grabs his wrist really hard. Not sure how Andrade has seen Red to be honest.
@Stoney_Ground: Barnet allege a lot of things, but are mute when they are the offenders. 🤷🏼♂️
@antydonny: At this level you expect the refs to be as poor as the players, but th ref re starting play whilst a player was still on the pitch having treatment was a new low.
@NCCMagpie: Did he bite him or was the forearm crush over his mouth??
@Memdozer: Only positive about Kabamba being banned is that TK will be forced to get a deal over the line for a striker #barnetfc
@AaronJaffe11: Andrade went full Luis Suarez 😭
@danshad10: He had him by the neck 😂 can’t do that and expect no red
@Onside_Offside: Well thats put a spoiler on my Kabamba inspired tequila party
@goldencol82: This ref has embarrassed himself here
@goldencol82: They just took photos of the bite mark . Red card should be overturned after the game.
