Aston Villa have been slammed by their own fans over the new Castore training range prices and season ticket costs for the 2022/23 season.
The West Midlands outfit have left many feeling priced out ads preparations continued for the new campaign, and it’s a big summer ahead for the club especially having lost Michael Beale and they’ll be wanting to do better than their 14th place finish from last season.
Aston Villa have caused a stir however in recent weeks, after it’s found that they will have the largest season ticket price rise this season though is how their prices have changed over the last 10 seasons. Relatively stable for most of the last decade, but a massive jump this season.
The cheapest adult season ticket soars £161 from £370 to £531. The near 44% increase, the first rise since Villa were promoted from the Championship in 2019, has caused anger for some.
Fan Jack Mullins said: “I’m still raging. It’s a small drop in the ocean for these multi-million pound businesses but will put a huge hole in the pockets of the fans who have been loyal through years of suffering s***e football.”
Villa said: “The club is conscious of the rising cost of living and for this reason we have limited these price rises to levels which still keep us in the lower half of Premier League benchmarking.”
Aston Villa have also been slammed over their Castore training range prices, which were unveiled on Monday the 27th of June.
CLUB STATEMENT:

Offered in a contemporary colour palette of teals and greys featuring claret details and contrast panels, the products are built-in with a range of technical elements.
Engineered vents for breathability, lockable zip sliders, lightweight insulation and high-stretch fabric create an innovative collection designed to push your limitations.
Inspiration is drawn from the iconic architecture and rich heritage at Villa Park to create a structural geometric graphic used across the training tees.
The club last month announced a multi-year partnership with premium sportswear brand Castore.

The agreement sees Castore supply Villa with kits across all men’s, women’s and Academy teams together with the club’s large and passionate fanbase in the UK and across the world.
