Arsenal fans aim taunting chants at Ange Postecoglou in Nottingham Forest’s 3-0 defeat to the Gunners on Saturday afternoon.
The home fans poked fun at the former Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou during his first match as the boss of Nottingham Forest boss, singing “Are you Tottenham in disguise…” and “Sacked in the morning”.
Arsenal secured a 3-0 victory at the Emirates, Martin Zubimendi scoring twice, with a volley in the 32nd minute and a header in the 79th, while Viktor Gyokeres added a tap-in after the break.
Forest, suffering back-to-back 3-0 losses, face pressure to improve with upcoming matches against Burnley and Real Betis.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest fans made their own entertainment in front of the TNT Sports cameras, check out the third tweet (posted by @SpondonFlyer)…

Nottingham Forest manager Ange Postecoglou, speaking to TNT Sports: “Obviously a disappointing outcome for us. They’re a good side and at home, they’re a tough proposition.
“Can’t fault the lads’ effort but we struggled to get a grip of the game and the second goal after half-time just allowed them to get away from us. Disappointing but can’t fault the effort.”
On improving with training time: “This week, it’s fair to say, was fairly disruptive for the players. International week as well so they didn’t get in until Thursday or Friday then with a new manager, I’m trying to implement new things.
“So it’s entirely understandable that they probably haven’t got clarity of thought at the moment. But that’s my job to try and embed that over the new few weeks and I’m sure we will because there is a willing group of players to do that.”
On new players: “There’s opportunities, we’ve got enough games. Carabao Cup and then Europe kicking off. I was encouraged by the performance of the lads who came on today, that’s why they were signed. But they’ve only had a small time to integrate into the team. I’m sure with some training time and opportunities to play, we’ll see what they can contribute.”
On the job ahead of him: “It hasn’t been an ideal prep for the players and you have to take that into account. All you can ask for is effort and unfortunately, against a very good opponent, today was a bridge too far.
“This is a group of players who showed last year how hard they fight for each other. Disappointment today but there’s only one way to respond.
“They’re all big jobs. I haven’t taken over an easy one yet but that’s why I’m here. I love the challenge and we’ll get to where we want to.”
On Murillo’s injury: “Looks like just a knock, so hopefully with some rest he’ll be OK.”
“When you look around at the other clubs… we need these players”

Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres, speaking to TNT Sports: “We came back and we wanted to do a better performance than the last game [at Liverpool], I think we did that so a great day.”
On scoring at the Emirates: “It feels amazing, just a great feeling to core and get the win as well.”
On settling in at Arsenal: “It feels great, the guys in the team have been amazing. It’s been so easy to get into the group. But, of course, there is a bit of time where you have to settle in with everything around.”
On playing with Eze and Madueke: “Those two are amazing in their positions, they always do something special. We definitely saw that today.”
On Zubimendi’s first goal: “I haven’t seen him to that in training, to be fair, so it was good that he pulled that one out! The header as well, I was a bit surprised with that but great to see him score two.”
On Champions League starting this week: “We focus on this game, now we have the game in Champions League on Tuesday. It’s a competition that we want to compete in so we’ll go there and try our best to win them all.”
Love this response from Postecoglou.
He allowed the players to show what they can do in a familiar system and look how that went.
No messing. Wednesday. It’s starts now.
Fair play 👏 #NFFCpic.twitter.com/vcrDX98REk— FFSForest (@Forest_No_22) September 13, 2025
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to TNT Sports: “Very good after the international break. When the players have been away, it’s always a question mark how they’re going to react and connect again.
“To win 3-0, another clean sheet is very important. Some of the players were starting for the first time so, overall, very good.”
On Martin Zubimendi: “Unbelievable, two very difficult goals in terms of execution. He’s come into the club and you feel a real presence, a real authority with everything he does on the pitch.
“If he adds to that with goals then what more can we ask?”
On the front three: “I think they were very good, all three of them. With their own qualities but complementing each other really well. Noni was outstanding again, he looks a real threat. Viktor was very intelligent, he could have scored two or three, and Ebs offers something different, a different kind of flow and very unpredictable as well.”
On tough choices in future selections: “This is what we want. When you look at other teams and the squads they have built, we all have the same. You want to be competing at the very highest level.
“We’ve lost Kai [Havertz] already for three of four months, Bukayo [Saka] for a few weeks and you need replacements. In the Premier League, it is so tough.”
On Odegaard injury: “It’s the same shoulder. He was uncomfortable to continue. That’s a shame because he played with the national team and was feeling good.
“He’ll do everything to be involved midweek but I don’t know.”
Here’s how twitter users reacted as Arsenal fans aim taunting chants at Ange Postecoglou in Nottingham Forest’s 3-0 defeat…
@PitchsidePub: Classy bunch
@ScottWaite1: Home fans singing sacked in the morning…. Our fans joining in. Ominous to me that….. and now we are stuck on the car park!! Shit day all round. Get me back on the M6 😤😤😤
@BenHarries: 5-0, 2-1, 3-0, 3-0. Not much fun watching Forest play Arsenal away is it? Look mate, early days.
@lukebarkerpoole: Not sure why people are getting mad. Arsenal away is one of the toughest games all season by far. I’m more interested in seeing how we set up and how we play. Too many over reactions for Ange’s 1st game
@hertagoon: Cheer up Postecoglou x
@CapitalR: I’m not panicking, just yet. Ange Postecoglou has only had ONE full days training with the squad. But he has a heck of ALOT of work to do to shape / evolve this squad to do better & mould into his vision. We looked so lacklustre. #NFFC
@Phil10439615: I’ll judge Ange on whether he has the bollocks to drop Gibbs White if he keeps dropping 4s #nffc
@bullyphil: Plenty of work for Ange to get this lot comfortable in possession under pressure against the best teams. Anderson excepted. If you turned up expecting a team coached to defend & nick goals in the break to suddenly look like Brazil after 1 session thats unrealistic #nffc
@SarcasticForest: People need to give their heads a wobble, today we are playing against quality, conceding goals to the likes of Gyokeres and Co, 4 years ago, we were in the championship conceding goals to the likes of Gyokeres and Co. Perspective is needed. Christ. #nffc
@TTheakstone: Don’t know why everyone’s crying. The last 3 times we’ve been the emirates we’ve been ripped a new one same as many other teams all season long. Ange has had 3 days with the squad, shut the fuck up moaning I’ve never seen a fan base to be so fickle it’s unreal. #nffc
