AFC Wimbledon poke fun on social media after MK Dons fans vent anger at their own players and clash with stewards on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts were ahead on 11 minutes, Myles Hippolyte hammered the free kick – given for a back pass – into the net.
It was 2-0 on the 90th minute, Joe Pigott drilling the ball across and Maycock slammed home high into the net.
10 minutes were added on, with Wimbledon making it 3-0 seven minutes into stoppage time with substitute Callum Maycock getting his second of the game.
The result means that Wimbledon sit 4th in League Two with 12 points from 5 games while MK Dons are 20th with 6 points from 6 games.
Let’s just fight the stewards instead of watching/supporting the team 👍#mkdons pic.twitter.com/xL61KKrbJB

AFC Wimbledon boss Johnnie Jackson said, per London News Online: “It felt good because of the significance of the game. It felt good because it’s another three points on our road.
“Our objective is bigger than just today – we want to get out of the league. Today, it was important that we added to our tally. It obviously puts us in a good position.
“I thought the subs were brilliant today, the way that they were ready, and they came on and impacted the game and got us over the line. Callum will get the applause, rightly so, for his two goals. But all the boys we used, all five, had such a positive impact. We can’t do that without the group.”
“It’s a good result. I think we can be better. We’re obviously always striving for improvement. We’re not going to pat ourselves on the back and think we’ve cracked something because football brings you back down to earth quickly. We go to Bradford, away next week, and that’s a tough place to go.
“We will enjoy today, but it’s another three points. There are 41 games to go. Our season won’t be defined by today, but it’s certainly a good step in the right direction.”

MK Dons boss Mike Williamson: “It is a brutal one for everyone concerned, so I apologise for that performance, it starts and ends with me.
“We have got another game on Tuesday and it can’t come quick enough.
“Of course [I am angry], on the back of that result and this performance as well, I am frustrated, I am angry, I am disappointed.
“There is a wealth of emotion in there, but the one thing I do know is that those lads are in there and feeling exactly the same.
“It is not a lack of effort, it is not a lack of trying, I can guarantee you that.
“There are other factors that made us come here and play with that fear.
“We did not show our personality and our character.
“I am not here to make excuses because for 20 to 25 minutes minutes we played our football and showed a bit of character, a bit of personality.
“But over the whole game, that was unacceptable.”
Alex Gilbey said, per MK Citizen: “I’m sick of coming into games and as players, lacking desire, lacking a want to win, wanting to run. We did it for 20 minutes in the second-half, but I feel like we keep repeating ourselves.
“It’s a rivalry. They HATE us, and they’re winning every first ball, every second ball. They are so desperate to win and to beat us, and they deserved it and it hurts to say that. I feel sorry for the fans to travel all this way, for them to have to go through what they go through over and over again, every day on social media, and then we show up like that? It’s disappointing. That’s down to us to correct that.
“To a man, we were so poor. We’re waiting for someone else to do something. It’s one of the biggest games of the season, not just for us, but for the club, the fans.
“It’s about wanting to win and fighting for what you stand for. They’ve done that today in abundance, and we were like rabbits in the headlights waiting for something to happen. If we keep doing that, we’ll keep going away from home and losing, nothing will change. It’s about growing a pair and saying this won’t happen again, and again and again.”

Here’s how Twitter users reacted as AFC Wimbledon poke fun after MK Dons fans vent anger at players and clash with stewards…
@wearelutontown: HA HA FUCKING HA!!!
@SSE_LTFC:
Football 1
Franchise 0
@ccfc_07: HAVE THAT YOU FRANCHISE BASTARDS
@LTFCShirts: Football 3-0 Franchise FC
@TheLegionDon1: A marvellous display of walking football. Unfortunately it was against professional footballers. Cracking possession stats boys, metrics must be off the scale. Just need that ball in net metric to go our way Mike. Div
@brad39271832: Football wins today.
@DanBacon777: Things you love to see 😍 suck on that MK! 🖕🏻
@AJNewsome: Brilliant, gave them several leagues head start just to actually end up in the same division being stuffed 3-0, every real football fan is loving this pantomime
@johnteate1: Things you love to see
@mgtd76: Cracking result. Franchise football has no place in this country. There’s only 1 true Dons in English football and they are based in SW19.
@pearcyyy: What’s the point having 74% possession, 100,000 passes but only 2 shots on target? No points for best passing in your own half. The team look devoid of ideas and as soon as we get to the final third nothing happens. MW must be lost because last seasons team played better football
@WimbledonLK: Can we play yous every week?
@adamrkiddle: Get him gone now. Williamson Out.
@Jacobbrook9: THE REAL DONS WIN HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
@ChrisProbert15: @agilbey8 injuring our captain to get him out the game… and then LOSING 3-0 aAahahabaha
@ollielad24: Absolute fucking disgrace Williamson cya ya as for AFC congratulations on the 3 points 👍
@FootyFan90UK: A Victory for football. I will never ever get bored or not celebrate this win as a neutral. You literally stole their club. Enjoy your 3 points @AFCWimbledon @AFCWimblyWombly @wimbledondsa
@MattB_1984: A result celebrated by 91 of the 92 EFL clubs.
@Charlieleahyy: YOURE SHIT YOURE SHIT YOURE SHIT YOURE SHIT YOURE SHIT YOURE SHIT YOURE SHIT YOURE SHIT HAHAHAHA LOOOOOOOSERS
@JonW_67: Absolutely delighted. And I live in MK. Drop the “Dons” from the club name if you want real local support.
@NiickLane: This team literally is a perfect representation of Mike Williamsons personality, dull and boring. Deserved to lose, and he deserves to go.
@jrutw721: Well done to the real Dons. Lots of love Wyc. 🍺
Bye bye franchise.
