Dorking’s Marc White said after the game: “I mean, first of all, like I would have said this either way, like just terrific opponents, terrific club, terrific players, management team, the gaffers lovely.
“They’ve lost like something like one or two games in 30, they’ve got some great individuals and they kept us honest and the story of tonight was like how many chances do you want in a game of football and it just shows obviously the gods were sent to test us because we was in maximum control at 1-0 and we had chance after chance after chance.
“I mean if you do the highlights of that game you know they’re gaffers like mate you know like the chances you I mean, you know, we were wasteful with them as well like you know I thought George and Josh were just trying to be a bit too clever in front of goal.
“Just needed a bit more caressing a bit more time, and this is no disrespect to Southall, but if we score 15 goals in that game, it wouldn’t have been unfair.
“So listen they’ve scored an absolute wonder goal out of nowhere to equalise that really rocked us because we’d been wasteful.

He continued: “They kept themselves in the game and we’ve had to come from behind um the whole match, we’re 4-3 down in extra time. The boys were resilient, calm, the McShanes of this world, Barretts, Pinchard as well, calm. Seb done well when he come on and they found a way. They found a way.
“And if the one thing we can get out of this team because at the moment, let’s face it, both boxes are struggling. And that sounds bizarre because we score we score probably over two every single game. But we could be scoring more than that every game.
“The thing is this team’s got a load of goals in it but at the moment we are conceding goals. I mean tonight there’s another couple of innocuous ones in there, but the bottom line is you’re conceding and it doesn’t matter how they come about.
“But look, it doesn’t matter. We’re gonna, you know, we’re only one game from a clean sheet. You know, we got to work hard at that.
“But I think if you look at the way we are set up, if we keep clean sheets, this is the team that’s going to score goals. It’s going to score goals every week and there’s a lot of gelling happening with the boys. ”

Southall manager Maxwell Howell posted after the game: “Proud of our boys over the course of both games never took a backwards step against a top side ultimately fell short we’ll take it on the chin and move on.
“Fair play to Marc and everyone at Dorking good side and proper football club 210 mins of carnage. All the best in the next round.
“Finally our support of the last 2 games has been unreal. Thank you for coming out especially tonight. We’ll see you Sunday ❤️🤍 @FCSouthall”
A proper club with proper people and some great players. We have had to work so hard to win this tie. Thanks Max. Top guy & top people – MW. https://t.co/9a1TmL7dN7

‘2 games, 13 goals’ – Here’s the social media reaction to the thrilling FA Cup tie with a last minute winner in extra time of their replay…
@TeddyCrumplin: What a game. BOA will be a joy to watch!
@SheenanBen: Well done southall , gave it a great go
@Haraldxkmgd: Wow what a game . Huge credit to Southall but Wanderers found a way in the end . Defence needs seem open heart surgery though 6 goals shipped in 2 games against a step 4 side raises a few eyebrows . But Barrett & Nikaj were the heroes great performances from those 2 .
@Step2Transfers: We need to change system. We can hardly beat a step 4 side over 210 minutes, it’s hugely concerning.
@MunneryGary: Credit to Southall, unbelievable game. Thank god we came out the right end of that
@Jeremygtay: Never in doubt 😂
@dwfc334: Never make it easy do we 😅
@Rayinatorsport: Thought it was going to be another bottle, fair enough Dorking. Ever a way to break a curse it sure is a 5-4 win
@MarkPhileb30678: Look forward to that episode 👍 kudos to Southall
