Xisco has been slammed for LAUGHING over Sheffield Wednesday fans’ chants calling for him to leave in defeat to Swansea City.
Goals from Jamal Lowe, Jerry Yates and Charlie Patino sealed a comfortable win for Michael Duff’s men, easing pressure on him, but putting more on Xisco.
The result is Duff’s maiden Championship victory as Swansea boss, coming at the eighth time of asking, and ends the club’s longest winless league start since 1991.
But for Xisco, and his side, the wait for a win on their return to the Championship extended to an eighth game, while their latest defeat makes it a sixth league defeat of the season.

The Sheffield Wednesday manager responded post-match to the âXisco outâ chants heard during the Owls’ 3-0 defeat at Swansea. Watch the video above to hear what he said.
As per the club website, he goes on: âIt is so disappointing because from the beginning we were the better team. We took the game to Swansea but the penalty changed the game.
âBut after that we still had chances but did not have the capacity in the final third to change the situation.
âWe hit the crossbar and if that was a goal we would be talking about a different outcome for sure.
âWe created chances, we got crosses into the box but Swansea took their chances and we did not.â
âThe performance was very strange. Very, very strange,â Xisco said as per The Star.
âIn the first half we had our chances and after the penalty? Maybe it was in or it was out, it doesnât matter, itâs football and this sometimes happens.
âIn the second half we had chances to stay in the game and we tried all of the game.
âJust now we are in a difficult dynamic. Itâs difficult for us, we need to improve a lot in the last third, with our last decisions.
âJust now, why are we not taking the results? One of the things is that we have control, we have some good situations. We have situations that are very poor in some situations.
âImmediately after we hit the crossbar and had the important chance, two minutes after they have one chance, a second one, and they kill the game,â he said.
âThis is what we need to do in this situation. This is the Championship.
âIf you tell me we donât arrive in the last third? We do arrive. We arrive with crosses, with set pieces, with corners. We had situations with three against three.
âWe need to show more quality in the last part, more patience sometimes when we are in this dynamic, in this moment? It is negative everything.â
Swansea boss Michael Duff meanwhile said: âI am happy and proud, and relieved. I am proud of the players, and I am really pleased for the supporters, too,â he said.
âWe have been in a difficult moment, with lot of ups and downs, things have gone against us.
âBut the supporters got right behind the team and that is going to be so important for us, so I have to thank them for that first and foremost.
âI thought the way the players stuck together was great. We had an injury in the first three or four minutes, and you can think it is a case of âhere we go againâ.
âBut they stuck at it, and the subs came on and impacted the game really well.
âIt could, and maybe should, have been more. But a clean sheet, three goals and three points, with some really good performances, and the thing I was most proud of was how everyone stuck together.
âItâs been a tough period but you could see the togetherness, we have been working really hard. People donât see how hard they work in training and you could see how together they are with how all 11 players celebrated the goals together.
âThere is still miles more improvement to come, but itâs a monkey off our back to get our first win.
âWe won the ball back 58 times, which is a lot, and I think we could have been a bit better playing that final pass,â he added.
âBut you could see a confidence and belief that if we carried on what we were doing, another chance would come.
âWe had to ride out a period in the second half where they hit the bar, but you are not going to dominate a game for 90 minutes and we managed to defend the box well.
âThat gave us the platform to play some good football, and I thought we did that well today.â

As mentioned, Xisco has been slammed for LAUGHING over Sheffield Wednesday fans’ chants calling for him to leave…
@johnada75157425: Don’t laugh mate because none of us are trust me đĄ
@johnellison: I’d have much more respect for him if he just said, “yes ok, we got it badly wrong today, we made some terrible errors at the back, the keeper was asleep, we cannot pass out from the back and we’ll change that” That would help my focus
@G_Nibs: He just shrugs with shoulders and laughs. Again. Get him out!
@Lincolnshireowl: I am absolutely furious and this guy is laughing at the camera. Horrific. What has happened to my club!
@Owlszaboutthat1: Get gone!
@SWFC83: I hope it’s just a nervous reaction, but…WHAT THE HELL IS HE LAUGHING FOR?!
@MrPaulPashley: Why is he laughing. The fans have paid a fortune to travel and see that!! GO.
@SteelCityLewis1: Come on mate what progress? Honestly, not even being funny, we’ve been absolutely stuffed 3-0 and had 1 shot on target all game, the players looked like they had never played football in their lives and we made Swansea look like Barcelona. What progress are you talking about?
@atkoswfc: Canât watch this. Second he started laughing Iâm raging. Just lost 3-0 to a direct rival in league table. Get gone.
@Turk_S8: He wants sacking just for the laugh #tosser
@no1owls: Makes me even more angry seeing him laughing. We are not laughing, just shows how little he is bothered.
@OvO_2017: Laughing and joking after that đ© show! I think he knows his time is up to be honest.
@FraserBoyd1: He’s actually got the audacity to laugh when he has played 8 Won 0 Drawn 2 and lost 6!!!!
@ToonOwls: I don’t hate Xisco he’s just a man. What I find hard to rake is he has an arrogance to him where if journalists ask him questions he implies they don’t understand and its their failings.
