Wycombe Wanderers leaves fans stunned with the surprise signing of Danny Ings, subject to EFL and FA approval.
The 34 year old, who had been a free agent after leaving Sheffield United in the summer, joins the Chairboys on a deal until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Mark McAdam also confirms he had been training at the League One outfit for the last few days and the club were impressed, so offered him terms to sign.

The club said in a statement on their website:
Former England international Danny Ings has joined Wycombe Wanderers – and he could feature in the League One clash with Reading at Adams Park on Saturday.
The 34-year-old striker is a free agent after leaving Sheffield United in the summer and arrives in Wycombe with a wealth of experience including 240 appearances in the top flight with Burnley alongside Chairboys coach Sam Vokes, as well as Southampton, West Ham, Aston Villa and Liverpool.
He’s netted more than 120 professional goals, including one for England in a friendly against Wales in 2020, and has trained with the Chairboys over the past week before putting pen to paper on a deal this morning.
His move – which was announced live on Sky Sports News – remains subject to EFL and FA approval, and he’ll wear squad number 28.

Director of Football Strategy and Data Intelligence Tom Stockwell, who worked with Danny at Southampton, commented: “We are excited to welcome Danny Ings to Wycombe Wanderers.
“Danny is an attacking player with top quality and a huge amount of experience at the top of the game. We believe Danny can help the team on and off the pitch.
“He joined up with the team Friday last week and has trained with the group since, so we know he’s fit and sharp, and ready to have an immediate impact.”
