Wolves give blind 8 year old fan Frazer the best day of his life after the youngster has gone through 64 operations to save his eyesight.

The Premier League side received an email from his family, with everyone at the club grouping together to give him the best day of his life.

He met the team in the tunnel, got to hear his favourite song by the Stereophonics on the pitch and cheer on the victory against Brentford.

After the match, he played blind football with Mario Lemina, who was incredibly inspired by the meeting as can be seen below in this heartwarming clip…

We’d like you to meet Frazer, our eight year-old fan.

He is blind after going through 64 operations to try and save his eyesight, but he is still full of joy 💛

We wanted to give him the best day of his life.

Grandfather: Frazer is a fantastic child I mean he’s got a huge disability but you never know it is so happy he’s so positive and he’s always been that way he’s really intelligent he does fantastic at school and he has a way with people that whoever he meets he makes an impression he just bought us so much joy it’s just unbelievable you know we were so worried and scared and distraught when we found out that he was blind but it’s just been fantastic.

Grandmother: Frazer was born without an eye in one socket his eyes hadn’t developed and the other eye um is what’s called a micro eye um and it isn’t formed properly um he had his first operation when he was five weeks old he went on to have 64 operations in total all to save that eye because he did have some light and colour perception but unfortunately at the start of locked down um he’s retina detached and he’s lost all vision now so he is totally blind but it actually worried us more than it bothered him um you know it’s made no difference to his life apart from the fact that um he struggles with navigation now because he hasn’t got that light to aim for but he doesn’t let it bother him at all

Grandfather: He had to be born and become a wolf’s plan so we had this baby grow he’s had all the shirts he knows all the players through the various teams he you know there’s no choice the lad has to be part of the pack we took him to his first outdoor concert where he saw the Stereophonics and he said afterwards that was the best day of my life and he’s already saying Wolves is going to be the best day of his life and that’s what it is it’s so positive

Grandfather: We were so excited when his pack arrived and Courtney had taken the trouble to write that note in in braille we all had a tearing we did you know what what an excellent touch and top top marks to Court

Courtney: I’m Courtney I’ve been at Wolves nine years this month and been in this role about four and a half years I think um so I do mascots and memberships it’s amazing to see the kids faces when they’re doing and just being in the tunnel itself it’s amazing we had an email from them originally and it was just when they said that he had had so many operations but was lost his complete sight but was able to use a cane and he could read braille and touch type I just wanted to make sure that he could have the same as any other kid would and would have just been able to have something he could read himself because that’s part of the fun sending out these mascot packages and them getting to learn about it themselves rather than from someone else any little thing that we can do to try and make the experience the best thing that they can get and most rememberable we’ll try and do for any kids no matter who they are where they’re from we’ll always try and make it the best day possible for them

Grandfather: Every experience with Frazer is a joy to us yeah um for it to be you the club that you supported all your life it’s fun

Lemina: When I heard about Frazer’s story I just wanted to give him the best day possible and I was really excited to to be with him to understand why I’ve been passing through like I know it wasn’t like every day really really good for him really good for his family and I wanted to to know more about him and get this this day really exceptional for him

Lemina: He is positive it’s just like enjoying every every day and it makes us like think about our situation and it’s it’s so good after meeting this guy I was just like positive all the time and I I just like understand understanding more and understand life more because it’s for us it’s always so easy to to complain all the time and when you see this kind of kids getting like this kind of situation and getting through it with so much positivity you just like respect that and learn more from life
