Wolves fans have took to fume at an alleged racist Leeds supporter after being caught on video upon leaving Molineux on Wednesday night.
Boubacar Traore’s late winner sent the West Midlands outfit through to the last 16 of the Carabao Cup.
The substitute hit home with five minutes remaining to down a much-changed Leeds side and seal a 1-0 victory for the hosts.
It settled what was a rather uneventful game that was on course to be heading to penalties and gave new Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui and his coaches something to think about, with the manager due at the club’s Compton training base on Friday, ahead of watching Saturday’s visit of Arsenal, before officially taking charge next Monday.
His lieutenants were seen at the cup clash having already briefly introduced themselves to the squad.
Leeds confidently went at their hosts and Matija Sarkic beat away Jack Harrison’s deflected free-kick before pushing away Leo Hjelde’s header.
The visitors threatened to overrun Wolves, who ended up riding out the storm to regain some composure, with Ruben Neves sending a curling free-kick wide and Adama Traore drilling across the goalmouth.
From then, chances was hard to come by, and neither team could take advantage as the game lacked quality.
Max Kilman was comfortably denied by Joel Robles in the second half and better was to come from the ex-Everton keeper when he kept Connor Ronan’s effort out.
With just 10 minutes left, the hosts’ ideas looked to have dried up and a penalty shootout was seemingly looming.
Harrison curled an effort wide for Leeds but Boubacar Traore pulled out a stunning winner from absolutely nowhere with five minutes left.
Nathan Collins won the ball on the right, played it to Daniel Podence who found the substitute to hit a fine strike from the edge of the box.
Unfortunately, there was some anger in the stands as Wolves fans fume at an alleged racist Leeds supporter after being caught on video at the end of the game. It’s said the individual could be seen making monkey gestures too.

Wolves caretaker boss Steve Davis after the final whistle: “I didn’t expect that, he does practice shooting, they tend to go everywhere but the goal. It was magnificent technique.
“He doesn’t speak a lot of English, communication is tough but he is starting to settle in quite well and he’s not let us down.
“Any win is important. We played quite well in the first half, the second was very scrappy. The game never really flowed but, from our point of view, we had substitutes we needed to make to keep people fresh for Saturday (against Arsenal).
“It’s been a tough month, this week has been tough with three games. We made a lot of changes, they worked hard but now it’s about recovering for Saturday.”
Leeds boss Jesse Marsch on the game: “We thought the group we put on the pitch played a very good game. The performance from the young guys was very good. We know we have a really good squad and talented players who need these steps to develop.
“In the last weeks, we’ve had very intense games. Players who are not as fresh as the group we put out might not have been as good. I have no regrets.
“We are obviously disappointed because I thought we could have won. We had a really good start and had chances all over the game which we didn’t take.”
