A while ago, we contemplated when Liverpool will be able to sit back relaxed that, for the first time in 30 years, it will finally take home the Premier League trophy.
But things have changed fundamentally since then. The epidemic sweeping across Europe has changed the situation completely – at one point, the question wasn’t when English football will return but if it will return this year.

Since then, things have improved significantly, and we already have a start date for the first “Project Restart” match. At the moment, Liverpool leads by a comfortable 25 points in the Premier League and needs six more to be guaranteed the title, with nine more games to play.
In their next four matches, the Reds will face Everton, Crystal Palace, Manchester City, and Aston Villa. So let us revisit the question of how soon can Liverpool sit back relaxed with its title in the bag?
The earliest
Manchester City will face Arsenal at home on June 17th. Arsenal has not beaten City in 90 minutes since 2018, and analysts don’t expect it to do so this time either.
Still, there are more unknowns here than in a game of slots at the 7Sultans Online Casino – who knows how the long time spent away from sports and the lack of fans will affect the players? No wonder people have been turning to their favorite Online casino to get their fix, they know what they are getting themselves in for. They understand that those online casinos can offer them a premium experience from the comfort of their own homes. They also know that some casinos can offer them an easy way to deposit money and withdraw their winnings with alternative payment methods. You can check out online casino sites that accept Payforit here. However, when it comes to football, it seems that all bets are off.
If Arsenal succeeds in besting City on the 17th, Liverpool will have to defeat Everton to have the title bagged on June 20th.
The not so earliest
If City defeats the Gunners, and Liverpool defeats Everton, the Reds will have to win their next fixture, against Crystal Palace, to be guaranteed the title.
If City defeats the Gunners, and Liverpool defeats Everton, AND City loses to Burnley, the Reds will have a lead of 28 points, with just 27 points available for City in their remaining games.

There are a great many scenarios with many variables that all depend on City and the Reds winning or losing in their remaining matches.
But one thing is for sure: if Liverpool manages to win two more games – something really likely, considering that they won nine consecutive matches before the season went on lockdown – their lead in the standings will be big enough for City not to be able to recover it.
Last season, Liverpool was just a victory away from winning the title after playing one of their best seasons of all time. They were the fourth Premier League team in history to reach the half-point of the season unbeaten and equaled the all-time record for the fewest conceded goals at the time.
As a consolation prize, they finished the season with the all-time highest total for a team not winning the title. This year, the Reds could win their first league titles in three decades.
