Classic football matches on TV this weekend

There are classic football matches on TV this weekend from the Premier League, EFL, FA Cup, EFL Cup, UCL as well as various playoff games.

Both companies are reworking their schedules to keep people entertained, mainly by showing some of the greatest ever matches, re-runs of past cup finals, heated derbies and thrilling playoffs.

It will be our last look at what has been picked to fill up the slots with the Premier League set to return to our screens next week.

Let’s start off with the BBC, who will continue with memorable matches from past Euros tournaments. Relive one of England’s finest performances at 3pm on Saturday as they take on a talented Netherlands team on home turf in the group stages of Euro 96.

Then at 10:20pm on Saturday, the BBC will show Gary Lineker, Terry Butcher and Paul Parker revisiting the scene of the 1990 World Cup semi-final between England and West Germany.

BBC One will also show the dramatic Euro 2016 clash between England and Wales, that will be on Sunday at 2:35pm.
