West Ham’s Declan Rice absolutely FUMES at referee in new footage after Frankfurt win

West Ham’s Declan Rice absolutely FUMES at referee Jesús Gil Manzano in new footage published after Frankfurt win Thursday’s match.

A clip showing the England international venting his frustration is going viral, a few choice words were said as he started swearing only to be told to calm down by others around him.

Judging by how he acted in this video, it wouldn’t be surprisingly if he ended up being handed some sort of fine, especially for saying what he did…

The unhappy Declan Rice claimed referee Jesus Gil was “against” the Hammers following their Europa League semi-final exit at the hands of Frankfurt.

They were losing 2-1 from the first leg at the London Stadium, with West Ham knowing a win would suffice in Germany to reach the final in Seville later this month.

However after a bright start in Frankfurt, their hopes of plotting a comeback was made more difficult with Aaron Cresswell was sent off in the 19th minute dismissal, the left-back shown a straight red card for the second time in the knockout stages.

Rafael Borre gave Frankfurt a 1-0 win on the night, 3-1 on aggregate, and while Rice had no qualms with Cresswell’s marching orders – which was upgraded from an initial yellow card after VAR intervention – he was far from impressed with some of the other officiating.

“The sending off was probably a sending off but some of the other decisions were poor tonight,” Rice told BT Sport. “The ref seemed to make every decision go for them. When you have someone against you, you can’t do much.”

On West Ham’s route to the Europa League final four, Rice added: “We are gutted in there, we have come so far as a group. We are not the biggest of squads, to keep playing week in, week out over 50 games, after last year.

“I am proud as well, to go down to 10 men and put in that shift. Many teams will go away and lose three or four. To still try to get forward with a man less emphasises everything that West Ham is about. We will fight to the end. So gutted but proud of everyone.”

He continued: “A red card is always going to make it a mountain to climb. We had genuine belief that over two legs they weren’t going to beat us. Of course they are a good side but no way are they better than what Sevilla or Lyon were. Maybe we played a team who play similar to us and it caught us out in the end.

“The first goal killed the atmosphere in the first game and it is a mountain to climb from there. We have come so far, nobody expected West Ham to be here. The boys went out on a high even though we lost.

“I thought it wasn’t great officiating tonight, but I think Aaron’s given the referee a decision to make,” added Moyes.

“I was more disappointed with the bench of Eintracht Frankfurt. You don’t react in that way. Maybe that’s what we need to do. We do it by Queensbury rules. And it comes back to haunt you.”

Moyes insists that he believes Rice will still be at the London Stadium next season.

Questioned about a potential move for the man who is set to become club captain following Mark Noble’s retirement this summer, he added: “No I don’t think so. I think we are a strong team and he has a contract for three years.”

Twitter users reacted as West Ham’s Declan Rice absolutely FUMES at the referee in new footage after Frankfurt win…

@ryanherrick1000: I’m sure the ref was the reason they couldn’t score 🤦🏻‍♂️

@CH_WHU6: Think we could of been there all day & still not scored 😂

@DayN80: Don’t blame him

@riceszn_: Ref wasn’t good but the red card was bang on

@rickdonkulous8: Unfortunately that was rash and an unlucky bounce. Pretty clear. The ref wanted to give a yellow and VAR advised red.

@shanylou_: Some dodgy decisions from him and I thought the ref from the first Lyon leg was bad.

@RamonF89: Declan is looking like a right bellend lately Eddie rattled him 😂😂

@fornalszn: Eddie couldn’t lace hes boots lad behave yourself

@HirstHirsty69: I’m not saying anything but there is no way UEFA wanted an all English UCL final and an all British Europa final 😉

@codyjharrison9: Team played poorly, I get Declan’s frustrations because he holds himself to a different standard than the team but the ref wasn’t bad. Premier League refs miss way more calls every week then other countries.

@ChelmoHammer75: Team played ok given the circumstances…matched the team who had an extra player in terms of shots on and off target. Ref wasn’t great overall though, managed the game poorly…maybe it was homefield advantage that made it that way, who knows

@bhafcsmith03: He wasn’t even noticeably bad… the worst thing he did was give cresswell a booking to start with when it was a blatant red!

@joshtomkins17: Painfully have to agree with this, cresswell was a red all day. The ref was fair for both sides

@cosaman10: Unfortunately I think we all know its true. 🤷‍♂️

@NED310: Not taking the piss but why do you think anyone would pay a ref? How does that come about? Why against west ham? Do you not think in this case its easier to blame ref than teams failings? That was a clear red

@whulorn: this is exactly why he’s our captain. whether rightly or wrongly, he’s passionate and I wouldn’t want anything else 🙂

@Joeydavies88: There was some shocking decisions , ref’s should start having interviews after games to explain decisions , players and gaffer’s get fined for saying things.

@SK_arsenal: Who does he think he is? You can take the boy out of Chelsea but you can’t take Chelsea out of the boy, it seems.

@RossAtkinson117: Getting way to big for his boots old Ricey ain’t he 😂

@Pinchy21: Fucking spot on too
