West Ham fans hold a ‘funeral procession’ in protest against their owners before the Burnley game on Saturday afternoon.

Hammers United organised the march, with it thought that over 10,000 supporters joined to demand the removal of chairman David Sullivan and vice-chair Karren Brady, who have controlled the club since 2010 (despite selling a 27% stake to Daniel Kretinsky in 2021).

Group chair Paul Colbourne told the crowd outside the London Stadium that the demonstration marked “the beginning of the end” for the pair, accusing them of destroying the club’s heart and soul.

Supporters are frustrated over the lack of progress since the 2023 Conference League win—the club’s first major trophy in 43 years, and ongoing issues with the London Stadium, which replaced Upton Park in 2016.

Originally an Olympics athletics venue, Brady had promised in 2013 it would become a “world-class” football ground.

The club have faced dire starts to recent seasons, with the team currently 18th in the Premier League with 7 points after 10 games.

A Change.org petition titled “It’s Time to Take Our Club Back” calls Sullivan and Brady “parasites” who betrayed fans with false promises and a “soulless” stadium, urging them to sell up under #SullivanOut #BradyOut #SaveWestHam. It has so far got over 17,000 signatures. Add yours to it HERE.
