West Ham fan in hospital after he gets wiped out by police horse

A West Ham fan ends up in hospital after he gets wiped out by a police horse, and is waking up the next day in quite some pain.

After the Hammers’ 4-3 loss to Crystal Palace, a West Ham fan was trampled on by a police horse outside Selhurst Park.

The video has quickly gone viral, showing the fan, named Ian from Taunton, getting knocked down the ground.

His friends took him to Croydon University Hospital A&E, where he received four hours of treatment and was X-rayed, report Six Foot Two.

He was taken to the hospital with swelling and a broken bone, but he has been released for his journey back to Somerset.

West Ham manager David Moyes: “VAR has prided itself on not giving soft penalty kicks away this year, but that would go down as a very soft penalty.

“I’m more frustrated by the way we played the whole game. We didn’t play well, Palace showed more quality, played better. Over the years I’ve prided myself on my teams being pretty hard to beat and play against, today we weren’t hard to beat or play against. That is the most galling bit for me.

“But two huge decisions have gone against us this week which could have meant we didn’t lose the points. It’s fine lines at the moment between us getting something from games and not.”
