A vlogger’s reaction to Bolton’s comeback from 2-0 down on 88 minutes to winning 3-2 goes viral across social media.
The Trotters become the latest a team has been trailing by 2+ goals to win an EFL match since the 2004 rebrand of the Football League.
Cauley Woodrow had Wycombe ahead after 27 minutes with Luke Harris doubling after 40 minutes, but Bolton hit back having been left incensed having seen Eoin Toal’s 55th-minute shot deemed not to have crossed the line.
But the hosts left it very late, goals from Ruben Rodrigues, Mason Burstow and then Corey Blackett-Taylor’s 96th minute winner seeing Bolton go within eight points of second-placed Cardiff, who lost to Lincoln.
Bolton are now unbeaten in 11 games, and just look at how much it meant…

Bolton’s Steven Schumacher said, per the club website: “A brilliant three points in the end. It was a bit of a mad game,” admitted Schumacher after three of his substitutes – Ruben Rodrigues, Mason Burstow and Corey Blackett-Taylor – grabbed the goals that gave his side a 12th home win of the season.
“I thought we started the game really well and we probably should have been ahead in the first minute when Thierry gets in. We had another couple of breaks and foe five or 10 minutes we looked really sharp.
“And then credit to Wycombe. We said in the week that these are a good team, well organised, and they showed that. They pressed us really well, made it difficult for us to get through them, and they were a threat with their play.
“The goals that we conceded to go in 2-0 at half-time were disappointing, but it’s a chance for us to show character. We spoke at half-time about doing the basics better, landing on second balls, trying to be a bit more aggressive, and I felt we were better in the second half and three goals in the last five minutes is, again, unbelievable spirit from the players, so congratulations to them.
“The second half performance was great, again not perfect, but we’ve done enough to win a game, which is not easy at this level, so I’m made up for everyone.”
On Blackett-Taylor: “He was such a threat/ He’s up against probably the second-quickest player in League One in Fred Onyedinma and got the better of him a couple of times on the outside.
“To stand up the cross for Mason’s goal was excellent and then he’s two-one against him for his match-winning goal. I know their player’s slipped as he came inside, but to hit that shot and to finish it that way with that sort of quality is excellent.
“I’m delighted for him. He’s had a good start since he’s come here in January and we need him to continue.”
Wycombe’s Michael Duff said., per Bucks Free Press: “I have mixed feelings because we came here and showed what we can be.
“It’s frustrating and disappointing because they couldn’t get near us in the first half.
“In the end, we ran out of legs.
“But I was proud of our first hour.
“I thought we were brilliant and dominated the game against a good team.
“But when you get to the 88th minute, you can’t concede three goals in nine minutes.
“Obviously, we want to win the game, but if you are going to lose, that’s the way to do it. We were beaten by an absolute worldie.”
