A post on Twitter which was highlighting the blunder has since been viewed over 75,000 times as well as attracting thousands of ‘likes’.

Some social media users however are suggesting that the commentator actually said: “They thumped Dundee to get through to this tie against Aberdeen.”

The end result saw Queen of the South thumped by Aberdeen when Niall McGinn, Andy Considine and Sam Crosgrove all found the net in the second half.

Experienced player Stephen Dobbie did produce a wonder goal for QoS after McGinn’s opener – taking the amount he has score to a stunning 38th of the season.
