Viewers gutted after hearing who is on BBC and ITV commentary for the Euro 2020 Grand Final that is Italy v England on Sunday night.
As previously mentioned, Ally McCoist and Clive Tyldesley have been a match made in heaven when it comes to talking about the beautiful game we all know and love.
Now ITV would be onto a winner here if they went with the duo, who have been continuously hailed throughout the competition, however, neither will be doing the game it would seem.
Mike Keegan, Sports News Correspondent/Sports Agenda Editor for the Mail, has since reveal who it is.
BBC One coverage on Sunday will start at 6:20pm with Guy Mowbray and Jermaine Jenas on commentary. BBC iPlayer are offering it with commentary from BBC Radio 5 Live also with John Murray.
Over on ITV, it will be Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon with their coverage starting 10 minutes later than BBC’s and of course ITV will have adverts.
Viewers are left gutted after hearing who is on commentary for Italy v England, however there was others who had something else to say…
@dankthemanc: They should have tempted John Motson out of retirement for this
@Jay13Silva: Can’t wait to press the mute button 👍
@GV18271: Fook that, ITV it is
@carl8869: ITV it is then
@19jono: How the fuck can ITV have access to McCoist and Tyldesley and still choose to go with Matterface???? That is negligence of the highest order! Jenas is crap but I’d rather Mowbray than Matterface so BBC just edge it for me
@jamali1905: Advantage ITV
@marcobr8186: @itvfootball it is so. Imagine putting Jenas on biggest game for England in 50 yrs 🤣
@UnitedSZN21: Not jenas ffs. Gonna watch on itv instead
@bryn_55: If Jenas is on its going to have to be ITV with BBC for the breaks! Jenas is an awful co commentator #bbc
@edcfc73: That will be the country watching @itvfootball then with Jenas on @BBCSport
@YesToTheSuperL1: Jenas….. ‘Sigh’
@Eltudinio: ITV it is, then. Can’t be having Jenas.
@BeerFootyLAD: Ok, cheers for the warning. BBC1 for the build up and half-time. ITV for the match itself.
@James_Greeny94: The biggest game in English football for 55 years and you have JERMAINE JENAS on commentary?! Are you having a fucking laugh?! Could talk a deaf person to sleep. Utter clown.
@rob83mufc: Jenas 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
@MemoryL66809557: ITV it is then.
@mark_v1: Jenas. Ffs
@Son_Lyme: Only ITV will know the logic behind replacing Clive. If there was any logic. Sam Chatterface I call him.
@DarrenStannage: Shocking
@LeighOGorman: No no no…
@farka87: Tv on mute radio on
@GripperTake68: watching it on mute then
@marshy1818: Vs Jenas on BBC, jeez, what a choice.
@M35Blue: BBC1 it is then
@KCBlues_: BBC it is. Awful commentators.
@peterfinch46: BBC it is then
@CitizenF_93: Best option John Murray and Chris Waddle on the red button.
@jaggo2210: Volume off whichever channel but how can @itvfootball possibly find worse commentators than BBC?!
@JonnoPayton: Niall Sloane’s dreadful decision to promote Matterface/demote Clive means all the progress ITV has made on the BBC in studio, McCoist, Hayes etc, is lost when it comes to the final.
@wozwebs: Should be a red button option for Clive and McCoist
@Jack_P_89: They have monumentally fucked this one. Surely someone in HQ is looking at social media and seeing this isn’t want the people want?
@DaleAC93: Fuck off.
@JFfutbol: Imagine having Clive Tyldesley, Ally McCoist and Emma Hayes and choosing this duo for the biggest game in 50 years… major own goal 🤦♂️
@Dips_avfc: @ITV thank you so much, I now have to listen to either Danny fucking Murphy or Jermaine fucking Jenas. 🤷🏽♂️
@mralexsheedy: ITV dropping massive bollock here. Read the room,get the big guns in. This is once in life time stuff on Sunday
@TKSakyi: They’ve missed from a yard out here.

Clive, known as the voice of England football, was surprisingly dropped from his position as ITV’s Prime commentator last July after 22 years in the role.
The 66-year-old spoke to the biggest ever British audience for a single game when the Three Lions lost to Croatia in the 2018 World Cup semi-final in front of 24.3million viewers.
Although ITV have stood Tyldesley down from his previous role, he will still be in the commentary box in a supporting role for Euro 2020.
Tyldesley and ITV mutually agreed more than two years ago that his role would change at some point in 2020, because the broadcaster felt that this would be the right time for a new leading voice. Oh how wrong they were.
The move away from ITV allowed Tyldesley to work for rival broadcasters throughout the 20/21 season including Amazon Prime Video.
Sam Matterface was then named as ITV’s new principal figure in place of Tyldesley for any future England games. And this has caused quite a backlash ever since from fans of Premier League and EFL clubs.
Tyldesley claimed he considered “storming out” of his meeting with ITV bosses after he was presented with the news, no wonder, he’s been loyal to them and they’ve gone and ruined him just like that.
However, after a change of heart, he realised he would still be able to cover top-tier matches and continue to fulfil his passion.
