New videos surface showing tempers flaring up with Newcastle and Chelsea’s players and fans fighting it out on Saturday night.
The minute long clip of supporters having it out was uploaded onto social media not long after the two sides faced off at St James’ Park with the hosts winning 1-0.
But it seem the occasion got too much for some, throwing some punches and having a scrap causing motorists to stop as it played out. Players also lost their cool with each other.

Joe Willock’ produced a stunning strike to give Newcastle a 1-0 win over Chelsea at St James’ Park, condemning Graham Potter’s side to their third consecutive Premier League defeat.
Neither goalkeeper was really troubled during a lacklustre first half, with Miguel Almiron sending a volley over at one end and Armando Broja forcing a routine save at the other as the opening 45 minutes ended goalless.
The hosts, sensing an opportunity to get the better of a below-par Chelsea side, were much better after the restart, although Nick Pope had been forced into a sprawling save in the 65th minute to deny Conor Gallagher’s curling shot.
Newcastle, who went ahead two minutes later when Almiron went on a jinxing run before finding Willock, will enter the World Cup break as the top-flight’s third-placed team. Chelsea, however, sit in eighth.
Chelsea boss Graham Potter, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “It was a tough game for us. Losing Ruben and Aspi at half-time. You can see in the two teams the different schedules. Newcastle have one game a week and we have a tough schedule. That showed. But there were also too many enforced errors. We got through a few times but we didn’t have enough quality.
“In a game of few chances, they got a winner. We changed things but we didn’t have enough. You could see in the first half they were pushing us back. We could not get out of the defensive third as much as we like. So we put on an extra man in the middle of the pitch. Conor had a good shot but then our defensive line was a bit off and we conceded a good finish.
“For different reasons, you have 13 matches in six weeks, a lot of those games away from home. It is what it is and it has been tough challenging. We have a break now and we need to re-energise. For us in terms of what we’ve had with an incredibly intense period, it is what it is. We need to take the positives. A lot of the boys will be away but we can get away, regroup and go again when we come back.”
🗣️ “We have to lick our wounds.”

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “We just edged it in terms of getting a goal. We’re indebted to Nick Pope with his save, but Joe Willock produced a moment of magic for us.
“We needed to step up to try and win the game. I thought both defences played very well. Thankfully Joe has come up with a great goal, but we were committed to everything today. The physical demands of that game were so high.
“I feel immense pride at how the players have performed consistently. Now the challenge is to maintain and enhance that. We’ll focus on what we think we can improve as a team. Hopefully the boys can come back from the World Cup in good spirits.
“I’ll enjoy maybe a few days off, but then the challenge is to come back and make sure we hit the ground running.”
