VIDEO: West Ham’s Sebastien Haller scores unbelievable bicycle kick against Crystal Palace

West Ham’s Sebastien Haller scores an unbelievable bicycle kick in the Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Haller’s stunning overhead kick to level managed to cancel out Benteke’s third goal in as many games, to level the scoreline in the 55th minute.

It was hardly a deserved equalizer as West Ham have been poor in this match, however what a goal that was.

After getting a lovely cross inside Brighton’s penalty area, Haller decided to take a bicycle kick shot. He didn’t really have another choice as he was turned with his back to Brighton’s goal. It worked well and Haller scored a sensational bicycle kick goal.

Same goal and same opponent as when Andy Carroll scored with a very similar goal a few years back!

It certainly got the approval of pundit for Amazon Prime Harry Redknapp who couldn’t believe what a good goal it was.

The Ivory Coast international had scored only twice in 11 Premier League games this season, but stepped up big time when his side needed him.

Palace went down to 10 men with 20 minutes remaining. Christian Benteke was sent off, getting a second yellow, a soft decision from the referee.

Challenging for a ball, Christian Benteke catches Tomas Soucek in the face and the striker is shown his second yellow card.

It looked as though there was zero intent, you can’t jump without raising arms and he didn’t seem to even be looking at the player.

Take a look at what happened in to footage below…

Crystal Palace remain 13th in the Premier League table whilst West Ham are up to 7th.

Haller hit real rocket of a right-footed shot against Sheffield United a few weeks back, and boy what a special one it was.

“It feels great,” he beamed at full time. “For me it is the same, a goal is a goal, and I’m just happy for the goal. This one is from outside the box, so it is special.

“I’m happy for the team because today was a great fight and we got the three points which we needed.”

“Of course for the confidence as a striker it’s really important [to score],” he added. “I came back from the national team, bringing the confidence back from that, so I hope it can help the team for the next games.

“I just know that at the training ground everyone is involved, giving their maximum in each session. It pushes everyone to the right direction and that’s why I think we’re here today [with the points]. We have a good attitude.”.

Haller joined the club from Eintracht Frankfurt back in 2019, in a transfer worth Β£45 million and he’s found it tough to perform consistently.

But fans think his performance on Wednesday might just be the thing to reignite his career at the London Stadium.

Haller told West Ham’s official website in November that more goals will bring him more confidence in the team.

“It’s a matter of confidence and trying to build things around me,” the 26-year-old said. “It’s not that easy, we’re all different. You need to find the right balance, and sometimes it needs more time to come, or a bit of luck, or small details to make things really good.

“The only thing I can do is get back to work, get help from my teammates and score goals.”
