Tottenham fans took to troll Everton boss Frank Lampard with cheeky chants while both sets of players had a flare up at half time.
Antonio Conte’s side ran riot against the relegation-threatened Toffees with a Michael Keane own goal added to by Heung-Min Son before Harry Kane scored twice either side of Sergio Reguilon strike sealed a 5-0 thrashing for the hosts.
And throughout the game, Lampard was continuously targeted by the home crowd with a number of chants, one in reference to Liverpool legend and Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard, who is having a more successful time in charge of his first managerial stint in the Premier League than Lamps who is in his second top flight managerial stint.
Spurs fans mocked Lampard with chants of “You’re just a s*** Steven Gerrard” before then they continuing their tirade with a rendition of “You’re getting sacked in the morning.”

Lampard had claimed before the game that he expected Everton assistant Ashley Cole to get more stick from Spurs fans than him, however it would seem that really backfired on Frank.
“Lampard, Lampard what’s the score?” was also sang by the home end, no doubt leaving him rethinking that opinion.
Speaking after the game, Lampard told Sky Sports: “We have to think in the bigger picture and go there are 13 games to go for us, eight of those at home and teams around us are having difficulties.
“And that’s where we’re at.
“We have to understand that before I came in there were issues that are becoming more clear to me every day but the important thing as I lead it is the positivity stays.
“Not stupid positivity, there’s nothing positive about tonight really, other than probably Antony Gordon and a couple of performances of credit in terms of people that didn’t give up.
“And that should be the bare minimum. I demand that and it gives me a lot of food for thought going forward.”
Lampard’s side are 17th in the standings right now, one point above Burnley who have played one game more, and pay host to Wolves and then Newcastle at Goodison Park next week.
“I have no problem with the challenge, I knew what it was, the general feeling has been very good and we can’t lose that because people will throw things at us for one bad game,” Lampard told Sky Sports.
“I had 20 years as a player. I had 100 periods like this. Everything is relative. It is important you stick together and work hard.
“I am confident, that doesn’t mean anything. I didn’t walk into the building with a magic wand. I am absolutely confident that is why I am here. The feeling at this club when I came here was we could be going down, it was clear around the city, it was up to me to change that and I thought we had changed that. But this is a test of that.
“No fear of what is ahead, I can’t wait for the next two games at Goodison. I will be ready for them, the players will be ready for them, they have to be ready for them.”
🗣 “We have to think in the bigger picture.”

Spurs meanwhile face Manchester United next on Saturday, and head coach Antonio Conte already had his mind on that match.
“Now my expectations have become higher. It was a good night for everyone. On Saturday it will be a really tough game and we have to show we’re becoming stronger,” Conte said.
“It’s difficult to beat us when we have more days to prepare. The big problem is when we have games in a short period. When you don’t have more time to prepare the game… Now we have only one target, to finish in the best possible way. We have more time to prepare and we have to try to do our best and we’ll see at the end of the season.”

Jamie Carragher said on Everton: “When you see a team who are the worst in the league away from home, the first thing that comes to mind is that they’re weak or they’re soft. That can never be Everton – it can’t.
“If Everton aren’t going to be good enough, it can be quality and they’re not. That back four is miles away, it’s Championship level.
“But for Everton not to be physical, aggressive and making it tough – that’s what Everton have always been, even when they’ve not been at their best. Fundamentally, this group of players and this club is so weak now.
“The lack of athleticism in that Everton team is frightening. When you look at the midfield, Allan can’t run. (Donny) Van de Beek can’t run. None of the back four can run. Harry Kane was running past Michael Keane for one of the goals.
“They’re weak physically and it’s a massive problem for them going forward.
“When I look at those home games against Wolves and Newcastle,” Carragher added, “you’d say Everton should be looking to get four points from that. I think that’s possible, but if Everton got one point in those two games, I think it would be the first time in my life I’ve ever thought Everton could go down.
“Even going back to some of the worst teams I’ve ever seen in the early 90s, you never believed Everton would go down. If the next two home games don’t go well, I think Everton have got a massive problem.
“Not just this season, but what is going on in the club as a whole. What’s going on with (Alisher) Usmanov behind the scenes, what’s going on with the stadium, they were on Financial Fair Play at the start of the season as it was, which was why they couldn’t bring any players in.

“If you’re an Everton supporter, it’s one of the worst times that it’s been because there are other things in the background and how much relegation could affect Everton.
“The last five games of the season are absolutely horrific. Chelsea are in there, Liverpool are in there, but it’s the first time I’ve thought Everton have a real chance of going down.
“The only thing that will keep this team up and what I think will keep them up is Goodison Park.
“One of the reasons that I think it was right to take Frank Lampard at the time was he was the one candidate the supporters bought into and happy he was taking charge.
“It’s not been a great start but there’s been an energy at Goodison. They have eight games at home [in the remainder of the season] because you can’t see them picking up a point away from home.”

Twitter users reacted as Tottenham fans troll Frank Lampard with chants while players have a flare up at half time…
ON THE RESULT:
@ItsEverton1878: Unlucky lads could have been worse. Done well to keep it to 5 goals. Proud of the performance and looking forward to Sunday & Thursday. My Fucking Club
@Greedygreeny1: If the back four isn’t Patterson, Godfrey, Branthwait and Mykolenko next match then we’re relegated.
@mattyfatcat: Bring back Rafa 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@life_as_brian: This might be harsh but Dele going over for a love in with their fans was so wrong IMO given what our fans had seen. We are a shambles and need a massive improvement and points on the board. Not buying some leaders at CB is costing us big time! Big week ahead!
@LiamDowson_55: Everton get battered everywhere they go 🎶🎶
@benlxwis: Gonna bring a flare next week just to get a ban
@_SUFCMatty_: Everton Football Club, get that head of yours up immediately ♥️
@TransferChecker: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Frank Lampard is a terrible manager. Why play a high line and press on the edge of the box if you’re just going to aimlessly loft it forward every time you win it? Makes no sense and they’ve been done in behind a few times as a result.
@EFCZay: Got it wrong tonight. But at least he took responsibility and is calling out the players. These next two weeks are so important, we have to stay behind the team 100%
@Radiationman2: Gonna miss the derby next season…
@NickW1573: Lampard the wrong appointment for a relegation fight.
ON THE CHANTS:
@MikeyJones: Spurs with one of the chants of the season ‘you’re just a shit Steven Gerrard’ at Lampard
@ColYou: Lovely from spurs fans here
@anna_michaux: It truly hurts that I’m sat at home with covid and not singing ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ and ‘you’re just a shit Steven Gerrard’ at Frank Lampard right now #COYS
@SpursGnome65:
🎶 you’re just a shit steven gerrard 🎶
🎶 sacked in the morning, you’re getting sacked in the morning🎶
bet Lampard loved us last night 🤣 #COYS
@Davey_J_: Funny cos it’s true
@gerrardlucas: You’re just a shit Steven Gerrard hahahahahahahahah now that’s one I can get on board with Spurs
ON THE HALF TIME FLARE UP:

— The Spurs Web ⚪️ (@thespursweb) March 7, 2022
@Thfc_K1: Giving me son and lloris flashbacks
@SonsofConte: Just hojberg antics 😉
@ConteSZN_: Pierre stiring shit up 💉💉
@MarkoVan9: hDisgusting from Hojbjerg telling the Everton players Winks would be playing for them next season and as you can see they are rightly incensed by it 😡
@BigDannyP_81: Good to see they’ve found a use for Sanchez
@AceDeck318: If only Decoure had that much energy during play…
@nickwillo4efc: Everton decide to start fighting Tottenham 47 minutes too late as the referee blows the whistle for half time
