Leeds United fans were left surprised on Tuesday night after Sky Sports commentator Tony Gales decided to sing during the Whites’ 3-0 win over Reading.
The former Fulham, West Ham United and Blackburn Rovers player was co-commentating and during one moment which saw Patrick Bamford narrowly shoot wide, he starting singing Leeds’ catchy chant for the potential Irish international (despite being born in England).

The video tweet went on to be viewed over 22,000 times as well as picked up nearly 1,000 likes and hundreds of retweets.
The game itself saw Leeds go back to the top of the table, only for that to last just a day as Norwich beat Hull 3-2 last night.
Mateusz Klich opened the scoring for Leeds after 14 minutes after Luke Ayling put a low cross into the box, before Bamford stepped over it leading Klich to convert it.

Pablo Hernandez doubled the travelling side’s lead just under 10 minutes later at the Madejski when he hit an effort from the edge of the box in off the post.

Despite chances to extend their lead in the second half, no more goals could hit the back of the net and the victory for Marcelo Bielsa’s side put them top for 24 hours before returning to second.
For Reading however, it remains nervy as they sit outside the relegation zone but level on points, 36 points, with Rotherham United who sit in the drop. Bolton and Ipswich both has below 30 points and look worryingly down and out.
After Sky Sports commentator Tony Gales decided to sing a Patrick Bamford chant during his failed attempt on goal, fans took to social media to express their love for it – check out what they had to say on the next page.
