VIDEO: Rochdale fans mocked after one gives cut-throat gesture towards Blackpool supporters

Rochdale fans have been getting mocked on social media after one of them it spotted giving a cut-throat gesture towards Blackpool supporters.

2,014 Tangerines fans filled the away end at Spotland, making up almost 50 per cent of the 4,664 crowd, though some of those within the home support got rather heated.

A group of Rochdale fans are seeing giving grief to the travelling fans as you normally get on matchdays with some looking like they wanted a fight.

One teenager can be seen without his shirt on, either because he was sizzling under the hot sun or he wanted to look hard in front of his friends or the girls a few rows back whilst others around him picked out and pointed at certain fans in the away end.

Another Rochdale fan, wearing Blackpool colours and a hat you typically see hooligans have on their heads, can be seen mouthing off before being talked to by stewards and security.

The game finished goalless and both Simon Grayson and midfielder Jordan Thompson praised the away support for their turnout and noise.

Grayson said: “They have been fantastic since I’ve come back to the football club.

“It was a point I made to the players that we’ve got over 2,000 supporters here, so let’s make sure we send them home in good spirits.

“Okay, we’ve not won the game but I’m hoping the performance will have sent them home in good hearts.”

Thompson added: “We’ve started well, which is always positive, and obviously the fans have been brilliant and continue to back us.

“There’s a good buzz around the place. The fans have been brilliant and we just want to get the results for them.

“Against Rochdale they’ve probably gone away happy enough because the performance was good but we just want to keep getting those three points.”
