VIDEO: Jordan Pickford filmed in pub brawl after watching Sunderland lose in cup final

Footage has emerged appearing to show Jordan Pickford caught up in a pub brawl after watching Sunderland lose their Checkatrade Trophy Final to Portsmouth yesterday afternoon.

Two women tried to pull the Everton keeper away from trouble, before a couple of men help them get him out of the danger zone.

Everton are to investigation what happened with Pickford’s agent Martin Philson confirming he was involved in the brawl.

It is also reported that he had ‘earlier been goaded by other drinkers and trouble flared later in the night.’

He was signing some autographs, but others in the background called is said to have called him ‘short arms’ ‘flappy hands’ and ‘butter fingers’, Pickford then raised a middle finger, before continuing having photos.

A source said, as quoted by the Daily Mail: “No one wants to see that kind of thing but it wasn’t as bad as it may have looked, it was over in 10 seconds.

“He was trying to have a drink and enjoy the match, people were goading him and there was a brief flare-up.:

Everton said in a statement: “The club has been made aware of an alleged incident involving one of our players and we are looking into the matter.”

Pickford came through the youth ranks at Sunderland, before leaving to join Everton back in June 2017.
