Fleetwood Town boss Joey Barton is being investigated by police over an alleged assault at Oakwell on Barnsley head coach Daniel Stendel.
The incident is said to have taken place in the tunnel following Barnsley’s 4-2 League One win, which took them back to second place.
It’s claimed the Cod Army manager was upset by the Barnsley media staff before an alleged assault happened on the way to the dressing rooms.
Neither club have commented and it is said members of the media were escorted away from behind the stadium where the Fleetwood coach was waiting for the players and staff.
