Mansfield’s draw at Northampton and MK Dons’ defeat at Tranmere meant a point was enough to seal Lincoln’s return to League One for the first time since 1999.
In the National League, two more teams have that dreaded ‘R’ placed next to their name, meaning all the relegation spots have been sealed.
Aldershot Town and Havant & Waterlooville were those clubs to go down. The Shots could only 1-1 draw with Hartlepool United and Havant lost 3-2 at Solihull Moors.
