Jamie Carragher chokes as Leeds United complete an astounding comeback to win at Wolves leaving everyone shocked at what they witnessed.
On the 25th minute, Jonny broke the deadlock, Ruben Neves was unable to carry on and got replaced by Francisco Trincao, whose first touch picked out Jonny in the box who fired low and hard beyond Illan Meslier.
Francisco Trincao hit the woodwork in the second minute of first half injury time. Having provided the assist for the goal, the substitute went for glory from distance and his attempt cannoned off the post.
Wolves doubled their lead in the 10th minute of time added on. Francisco Trincao picked his spot and beat Illan Meslier with a precise finish moments after Pascal Struijk was booked for a foul on Raul Jimenez.
The 53rd minute saw referee Kevin Friend show Raul Jimenez a second yellow card and told to the Wolves forward to get off the pitch. Boos went around Molineux with the decision a controversial one as both he and Meslier went for the ball, the latter getting to it first.
In the 62nd minute, Luke Ayling hit the woodwork from inside the box, the rebound fell back into the path of the Leeds skipper whose second attempt was kept out but fell to Jack Harrison to hit home.
Shortly after that, it was utter bedlam in the away end as Rodrigo levelled after Dan James hit the woodwork and was then denied by Jose Sa.
Wolves still couldn’t clear the ball and Leeds’ No 19 pounced.
On the 90th minute, Leeds captain Luke Ayling was there with finishing touches to an incredible Leeds comeback win.
A free-kick landed in the Wolves box but the home side failed to deal with it and Ayling lashed it home to seal all three points, vital to their Premier League survival.
Sky Sports’ Gary Neville said as the full time whistle blew: “I had them down at half time!
“That is absolutely incredible!
“That’s a massive, massive night for Leeds.”

POST MATCH REACTION:
Leeds boss Jesse Marsch to Sky Sports:
“Yeah the first half wasn’t what we wanted and we knew Wolves are a good team and they were able to pull us apart more than we hoped and the second goal before half-time was a killer.
“It’s a group that has big hearts, quality young men and I’m very thankful to be here with them and to be in a fight with them because even though I’ve only been here a short while I believe in them.
“When we were a man up you hope we can push on and then we can push for the second goal and that’s what happened.
“We are still learning and adjusting to the football I want us to play but in the meantime I know we can draw on the mentality and the identity of the club.
“I think we still have a lot of work to do and I am just focused on controlling our mentality and work ethic and if we control that then I think we have the quality to do well.”
Wolves captain Connor Coady: “It’s a game we should win. We should still stay in the game but it is not a red card. I could go mad and kick off but for me it’s not red. It’s a fair challenge there was nowhere else it could go. These decisions are killing teams.
“I thought from the first minute he threw out yellows early on and I thought he lost the game. We don’t feel like we were fairly treated.
“We look at ourselves first and foremost because we can defend better. But other people have to look at themselves as well.
“It’s a massive factor in what has happened.”
Wolves boss Bruno Lage to BBC Match of the Day:
“Everyone saw what happened and now they have the chance to watch on TV. It’s a body contact, Raul tried to win the ball. Bad decision – and he continued with the opinion he did a good decision
“In the 45 minutes I think we were the better team. We were a much better team than our opponents. I am very proud of my players.”
