VIDEO: Horsham fan attempts long jump in sand pit beside pitch during half time at Tower Hamlets

Horsham have recently uploaded amusing footage of one of their supporters attempting a long jump during half time of their FA Cup Preliminary Round tie against Tower Hamlets.

Fans turned up to the Mile End Stadium to discover it was an athletics ground which had a running track and a long jump pit alongside the pitch.

The travelling supporters of Horsham always bring great noise and that volume was boosted even more as their team thrashed their opposition 6-1 in east London last weekend.

Whilst also making use of the sand pit in the hot summer Bank Holiday weather, it has also been said that the away fans were having their own mini-Olympics, one of the events being a 400m dash at the interval.

The day’s events, possibly some alcohol and the heat took it’s toll on one fan as he made his way back home…

A total attendance of 89 turned up to watch the game play out between the Essex Senior League club and the Isthmian League Premier Division side.

Those to get on the scoresheet were Will Miles, Zack Newton, Jared Rance, a brace from Chris Smith and an own goal from the Hamlets defender Alan Zukolli, while Yoan Marc-Oliver hit a consolation for his side.

Three days later, Horsham found out their opponents for the FA Cup First Qualifying Round will be an away game at Met Police, which will take place on Saturday the 7th of September.
