After checking out a video following George Elokobi jumping into the stands to confront a fan, social media users took to give their reaction with many shocked at what they witnessed…
I was right there with my boy (who was petrified by @georgeelokobi behaviour) and I can say 100% that there was not a hint of racism. I HATE racism and certainly wouldn’t defend someone being racist.

@JamesRobbo98: Imagine big George Elokobi swinging a dig at you … up the non league
@LenM4: I’d run a mile if George Elokobi came charging towards me!
@Scott_Weaver14: I wasn’t at the game but I find it hard to believe a true Braintree fan would shout something racist at George Elokobi. He’s a former Iron player and very respected by true fans in his short time at the club. If it is true then hopefully action is taken
Patrick J Morgan: George would have sorted them out! Sometimes you have to allow natural selection to administer lessons. No intervention- just George.
John Bradley: Braintree should be held responsible fined heavily & deducted points not going to learn otherwise
Val Jacobs: One of their fans suggesting a fan made a comment about wages. Can’t see George responding badly to that.
Alastair Deards: Bloody awful we deserve to be given the match. Very angry about this event
Rob Neary: Alastair Deards as much as the suggested racism is awful and has no place. The game is won on merit and was clearly finished at this point. Can’t be asking for points due to one imbeciles actions ?
