A football fan was lucky to not be hurt last night after a firework went into the crowd prior to Wolves’ Premier League clash with West Ham.
The usual pyrotechnic display and disco light display was taking place as the players made their way onto the pitch, but whilst it was happening, one of the firework went into the stands, hit the top of the Steve Bull upper roof and rebounded into the fans.

A spokesperson from Wolves said: “Club officials are aware of an incident ahead of tonight’s game in which a fragment of firework came to rest in the Steve Bull Stand.
“Stewards responded quickly and there are no reported injuries, but we will seek a full investigation by our pyrotechnic providers.”
It is the first time it has happened at Molineux since 2003 when someone did unfortunately get hurt.
She said, as quoted by the Express & Star: “I can’t understand how it is still going on. Someone else could have been seriously injured.
“I said all along something is going to happen, I just don’t understand how they can carry on doing them.
“It has happened twice. How many more times is it going to happen before they stop it? What happened to me was serious enough, my cheekbone was smashed. What is it going to take – someone losing an eye?”
After finding out about the firework hitting the roof of the Steve Bull Stand and fell onto supporters – fans expressed their concerns and debated whether the display before matches should stop – take a look at what they had to say on the next page.
