VIDEO: Derby fans climb over turnstiles at Villa Park when 4-0 down at half time

A video has emerged in the last 24 hours appearing to show Derby County supporters climbing over the turnstiles to exit Villa Park at half time.

The scoreline remained the same in the second half, leading to pressure growing on Rams boss Frank Lampard as the result became their third consecutive defeat in a four-game winless league run.

Conor Hourihane broke the deadlock after just 9 minutes who tapped in following Tammy Abraham effort being deflected off the goalkeeper.

Abraham made it 2-0, getting on the scoresheet on the 37th minute to grab his 21st goal of the season.

Things worsened for the travelling fans when Hourihane got his second and Villa’s third before Jack Grealish hit a sensational volley from a Glenn Whelan corner to make it 4-0 going into the break.

A selection of Derby fans had enough and could be see making their way out of the ground whilst others in the concourse watched as well as ate and drank prior to the second half kicking off.

Fair to say they couldn’t bare watching what the rest of the match was going bring.

Take a look at the video going viral below…

Derby boss Frank Lampard told BBC Radio Derby after the game: “The players are a good bunch. They want to do well for this club and it was a very tough match for them as well [as the supporters]. There will be a strong words now but we have to turn it around and make it positive.

“Harry Wilson has been ill during the week. Some of the changes were forced because we are playing so many game and we are in a little patch of form where we are trying to inject something into the team. We are trying to find solutions and we didn’t find them.

“In the first half we were so far below par. They were good, we made them look good and we gifted another early goal. It was a reality check of the issues we have had in recent weeks.

“We didn’t perform. We were slow off the ball. We didn’t have quality or personality on the ball and that happens when you are in a tough time.”

Following the result, fans took to social media to heavily criticise and mock Lampard’s comments as well as joke about the travelling fans jumping over the turnstiles at half time – check out what was tweet on the next page.
