VIDEO: Claims Julian Jeanvier spat at West Brom fans – Brentford launch investigation

Brentford have launched an investigation after it has been claimed that a player spat at West Bromwich Albion supporters.

The alleged incident took place towards the end of the Baggies’ 1-0 win at Griffin Park over the weekend where it’s said that Bees central defender Julian Jeanvier reacted to verbal abuse from the away end by spitting them.

One fan said, as quoted by the Express & Star: “The momentum of his run when he missed that chance at the end caused some fans by me to gesture at him.

“So he decided to turn around and spit in their general direction, but he sprayed me as well even though I wasn’t involved.

“The stewards reported it as soon as it happened thankfully. Pretty disgusting behaviour.”

WEST BROM FAN TV wrote on Twitter: “So the player who spat at me and some other fans was Number 23 Julian Jeanvier! Think you might wanna do something about it @BrentfordFC if that was one of us they would of been kicked out and banned for life!!”

A spokesperson for Brentford has confirmed the club are aware of the complaint and are investigating.

After finding out on the claims that the Brentford player spat at fans in the away end, social media users took to reply to West Brom Fan TV’s tweet with some thinking it was deserved or false and others slamming Jeanvier – find out what they tweeted on the next page.
