A Chelsea fan has gone viral as he tries to time waste but boots ball at his unexpecting mate’s face during last month’s game vs Brighton.
Footage has surfaced of the supporter trying to hold his side’s lead and mistakenly smashed the ball and left another male’s head in pain.
A tweet by North Stand Chat featuring the clip was accompanied with the caption: “Remember the tale of that Chelsea fan who booted the ball as he tried to waste time to prevent #BHAFC from continuing to tear Chelsea apart?
“The one who smashed it into the face of his mate?
“The one where no one could find a video?
“Fixed.”

In the end, Chelsea could only pick up a point against the Seagulls in west London.
Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring for the Blues in the first-half, before Danny Welbeck equalised in injury time, oh how that ‘time-wasting’ backfired for the Chelsea fan ay?!
The reigning European champions struggled for much of the second half, fluffing many of their chances to extend their league.
Since that game, which took place on the 29th of December, they have picked up two draws, one defeat and one win in the Premier League, while in the cup, they’ve won one and lost another.
Twitter users couldn’t help but laugh while watching a Chelsea fan tries to time waste but boots the ball at an unexpecting mate’s face instead…
@RDoyster: I thought this was lost just to the memory, but now it can be shared for everyone to see. 😂
@gregbinstead: My fucking hero
@BradStrat: Pure, swift Karma #BHAFC
@JulianJohnPhot1: Watching on repeat, that is a thing of beauty.
@J_Chambo92: 😂😂😂 honestly was searching the entire internet for this masterpiece. A minute before Welbeck equalised haha
@MrTodge: Gets better everytime I watch it
@tommoinleith: As any person of letters will tell you, it was the esteemed Dr Samuel Johnson who first said, “When a man is tired of watching this Chelsea fan accidentally hoofing the ball into his mate’s face, he is tired of life.”
@joshmorton4; Mad how he ages about 20 years as soon as his cap comes off
@TheBrightonBard:
Was a myth,
That gathered pace,
But yes, it happened,
Right in the face. ☺️
#BHAFC
@BhaCallum: I love this video so much 😭
@groundhoppercam:
this is glorious – I can’t stop watching
the bit where his hat goes flying off lmaoooo #bhafc
@Obi77BHA: Karma is a wonderful thing. Made the equaliser so much sweeter after their fans kept lobbing the ball around the stand. Only for it to end with this 🍋 kicking the ball in his mates face 🤣🤣🤣 – a minute later we score #bhafc
@Bonbonvolio: Attempted time wasting that eventually led to our goal after smashing his mate in the face. It’s beautiful.
@OllieBhafc_: funniest moment of the game 😭😭😭
@wearebrighton: Christmas has come 11 months early #BHAFC
@Anthony_1990_: In a season of last minute goals and brilliant football, this for me is still the iconic moment #bhafc
@jp_brighton: Amazing 🤩🤩🤩 Thought this was lost only to be witnessed by those that were there live. 4 mins left and you do this only for Welbz to score the winner 2 mins later 😂😂 #CFC #BHAFC
@LiamTharme: I’ve watched this about 40 times. Absolute scenes
@BHAFCstats :Enjoyed witnessing this as much as I did celebrating the last minute goal at Chelsea. I am SO glad they found it.
@thenorthover: Glorious absolutely fucking glorious #bhafc
@BHA_Glenn: Could watch this all day!
@MarkBar69011308: Please let it appear in the season’s highlights reel, please 🙏🏼
@ForeverAYellow: hahaha what an idiot, tried to look hard and cool in front of his mates, only to hurt one of them and watch his side concede straight after, hope he cried home
I’m so happy there is a video of this. Time wasting so the champions of Europe could hold off little old Brighton. Then… #bhafc https://t.co/InNFnMAuKn pic.twitter.com/Tdgh3fjPYW
