Footage has been posted showing a Charlton Athletic ‘fan’ appear to kick the back of a police horse (1:05) whilst leaving the Millwall match on Saturday.
A YouTube video shows the travelling supporters cheering after pulling the gate (0:30) of their away walkway open and then complained when the police ended up stopping them.
An officer on one horse could be seen using his baton on those making their way to the train station.
At four minutes thirty-five seconds in the video, you can also see fans prevent a man who just got off a train trying to make way for the station exit by surrounding him and not letting him past.
The match itself saw Charlton lose 2-1, leaving them 11th in the Championship table and Gary Rowett’s Millwall up to 15th.
Shaun Hutchinson opened the scoring after just six minutes by nodding home Shaun Williams’s inch-perfect delivery from the right.
Jonathan Leko got an equaliser with a placed volley from a corner six minutes after the break.
Any hopes of a comeback from Lee Bowyer’s side were ended when Matt Smith headed home from Jed Wallace’s corner in the 92nd minute, as can be seen in the video above.
After watching a video of the Charlton fans post-match, social media users took to criticise how the away supporters acted – see what they had to say on the next page.
