A video appearing to show Barnsley fans fighting with Leeds supporters who sat in the home end is going viral this afternoon.
The incident, which happened during the game, was reportedly started after heated row before one fan was dragged away by security in a headlock amidst the melee.
One reporter, Graham Smyth, said: “Looked to me like a steward took issue with something and had to be restrained by his colleagues. He’s being led away, but not before some away fans have tried to get to him. Police now involved.”

Police were forced to intervene as fans from both sides exchanged blows with some pushed over the walls behind the advertising boards.

Stewards were trying to control the situation by breaking up the fight, but some fans as seen above ask for a fight with them by getting their arms up and ready for a punch – a handful were taken away and out of the ground.

The game however saw Leeds avoid a goalless draw to win 2-0 thanks to goals from Eddie Nketiah (who really changed they game after replacing Patrick Bamford) and Mateusz Klich in the last six minutes of the game.
The result means Leeds climb back to the top of the Championship table, Barnsley slip into the relegation zone in 22nd position.
